Anyone have a cedar playhouse - longevity??
http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/nav...716&pCatg=4741

I am considering purchasing the above playhouse form Sam's (It is 299 in store). We have a 3 year old and 9 mo old and I strongly encourage outdoor play and they both love their swingset, however it is a metal one with the glider and lots of swings, not the cedar ones as I did not want them climbing up high at this age.

Anyway, does anyone have a cedar playhouse and it is truly mostly maintenance free?? How has it held up? This is not a huge amount of money, but we are careful in how we spend and I would expect this to last at least 5 years or so...

I don't have a cedar one but I have 2 little tikes ones. We did not want to go with any wood structures because of splinters. Kids run their hands along things and get them with out even trying. Our kids have gotten them from other people's playsets. It is no fun trying to get them out. Little tikes makes great playhouses and you can always resell it when you are done because they take such a beating that they never wear out.
