I have never eaten at Nine Dragons. I prefer authentic Chinese food and my understanding was that they only served more Americanized dishes. Now they have a dim sum selection for lunch and I'm wondering if it's good. I've also heard that their food in general has improved. Any comments? I love the dim sum at Ming Court on I-Drive. It would be nice to have a dim sum lunch at Epcot.

just ate there on Mother's day for dinner and had the dim sum and it was great..I happen to love nine dragons and have not had a bad meal there..Marianne

We just returned from a trip this past Monday and I was trying to figure out how to eat at Nine Dragons for a third time in three days Sunday. We almost had lunch and dinner there that day.

Our lunch usually consists of 2 orders of Shao Mai, 1 order of BBQ Pork Buns, 1 order of Shrimp Dumplings, 1 order of Pot Stickers and 1 wonderful order of Honey Sesame Chicken. This is split (somewhat lopsidedly I must admit) between 2 people. I usually get 1 order of Shao Mai and most of the Honey Sesame Chicken while dear boyfriend fills up on dim sum.

My family frequently eats dim sum. We have avoided Nine Dragons for a number of years, but decided to give it a second try when we saw dim sum on the menu last month. We had shrimp dumplings, shao mai, chaozhou steamed dumplings, pork & shrimp spring rolls, bbq pork buns, pork pot stickers, sweet & spicy cucumber salad, and roast duck. We were pleasantly surprsed and liked it so much we went back again for a dim sum lunch and then another time with friends where we combined dim sum and one of the sampler lunches. A friend who likes duck still raves about the roast duck - tasty, not fatty or greasy, and crispy skin. This is not the world's best dim sum, but Nine Dragons has gone from a restaurant we avoid to one of our standards when at WDW.

Enjoy your lunch!

Dim Sum is Cantonese cuisine that comes mainly in the form of steamed and fried dumplings containing a wide array of fillings. They are usually served in tiers of bamboo steamers or small to medium-sized plates (so that many different varieties can be sampled) or they are served like "dessert carts". That is a cart filled with several different types for people to pick and choose from.
