Anyone had LASEK surgery?

Hmmmm.....I'm not sure. I think he is a doctor that can do follow-ups. He said I have "more" astigmatism than I do near-sidedness (I'm not sure I am explaining that right) and it would completely take my near vision and leave me with remaining astigmatism so I would have to wear glasses to read. :confused3 (I know my eyes are bad....they are practically shaped like a football with the astigmatism!) :teeth:

ETA: I don't think anyone around this are does the surgery but there are some drs that are qualified to do the follow up.

I am 33 -
I had it done in 2002 (actually had it done so I could go to Blizzard beach and hit the BIG ONE without worrying about losing a contact lense :rotfl: )

I had it done 2 monthes ago. I LOVE IT!!!! It is sooooo convenient.
There was no pain, just gritty feeling, little uncomfortable the first night.
I wish I had it done years ago!!

I had lasik over 5 years ago, I had no pain, was just tired afterwards. I was able to drive to my follow up appointment the next day. You would think since lasek is a newer procedure that you would recover even more quickly. Doesn't seem right that someone would have so much pain.
