Anyone had hair cut in salon?

Just wondering if anyone has used the hair salon on board - especially for a hair cut.

What are your thoughts?

My hairdresser can't fit me in before we go and I NEED a haircut. I know it's not the cheapest, but is it a "safe" option to get it done onboard?

Any advice would be appreciated!

but not cut. They did a nice job, but it was pricy. I don't know the costs for cuts, but I would imagine they would do a nice job.

I always get my hair cut when we cruise. The women are VERY skilled. I believe I heard the beauty schools (sure they're not called THAT) in England (where the spa staff is from) are 4 year schools!!

You pay more, but honestly, they are great. I have only ever got a cut & they have always done a great job. Best scenery I ever had while getting a haircut!!

I had my hair cut while on the Wonder a few years ago. The "stylist" was abrupt, unfriendly and although I am not fussy about my hair, she really didn't listen to me at all when I explained what I wanted. Since I wear glasses, it wasn't until she was finished that I realized what she had done. I didn't say much and she didn't ask - paid my bill and left.

Got to my stateroom and Tom asked why I had hair all over my face - seems she didn't do a very good job of "brushing" it off.

I was very disappointed in both her and the haircut - but hair does grow back and she can forget any recommendations.

I've never had it done on the Magic and probably NEVER will after that!!!

I had mine cut on the Magic last May. It was a guy from England who cut it. The way he washed my hair & massaged my scalp was wonderful!!! I could have went to sleep. He basically shaped up my style. It was pricier than what I pay here, but I was very pleased with it.
