We just got back from AKL and had connecting room for our kids. It was great!

Has anyone out there had connecting rooms at RPR? Do they guarantee your request? Discounts available for more than 1 room reserved?

Thanks!!

i haven't been to the RPH yet (our trip is in May) but, we just booked 2 adjoining rooms for $146 each AP rate. When we asked about the 2 room discount they said that we could reserve 1 room at $199 & might be eligible for the 2nd room (if available) upon check in. It was just too iffy for us- plus the $146 came out a little cheaper. Good luck!

When you made your reservation, did they guarantee you adjoining rooms or did they say it was first come, first served?

I didn't know you could get AP discount on RPR. Their current ad campaign doesn't say this although maybe I missed it. It the AP worth it if you only go once a year?

Thanks.

At least at WDW adjoining and connecting are two different things. Adjoining rooms are simply next to each other and connecting rooms have the door between the two rooms. It could make a difference if there are young children in one of the rooms.

Yes you can request connecting rooms & let them know if you have small children in the 2nd room (I can't see them not honoring that).
I just made my reservation on Wednesday (2 days ago now). The reservation is for both rooms & we have never had a problem in the past having the 2 rooms right by each other (especially when they know that there are children in the 1 room).
As for the annual pass, I purchased mine last August when they had a special deal for $99. It is the "power pass" Ap that doesn't allow use during summer weekends, easter break, christmas, & new year's time- which is just fine with me. They are still offering it now on their site for $99.95. When a 2-day ticket is around $89 that's only $11 and we saved $ 63 on each room. I think that is a pretty good deal.

I don't know where my head was this morning...I forgot to mention that the fan club rate was the same as the AP rate so if you wanted to for go the extra cost of the AP just get a Universal Fan card.
