Anyone had any luck with changing a time at Ohana's?

We are going the first part of June. We just booked a month ago. We try to pick our restaurants with everyone having their favorite restaurant and then add others. My oldest daughter's favorite is Ohana's. The only day I could get it in was a Friday. But the reservations are for 8:20. Has anyone been able to modify a reservation for Ohana's before? I have been calling everyday. We will probably just keep it and head to the pool before dinner instead of after.

Thanks!

Honestly that is such a hard reservation to get. It took me 3 trips to even get one. By the 3rd I booked it as far out as I could. Keep on trying everyday though I have heard of people getting to change. I'd just be happy to have one for O'hana b/c the food was excellent.

You should try looking at the online booking system - much easier than calling - you could check a few times a day (if you wanted) very easily.

Your best bet will likely be to show up and check in early. Now, there's always the chance that you'll have to wait for your scheduled time but you may be seated early. We were seated over an hour early in December because I overestimated our travel time to the Poly. Good luck!

Thank you for all the responses! Can you change your reservation online as well? I just thought it was for new reservations.

Example:

You have O'hana booked for 7:00pm. But you see now that 8:00pm is open and that sounds way better for your schedule. When you book 8:00pm it will allow you to cancel the 7:00pm.

You can't necessarily change a reservation, but you can cancel and book new ones. Hope this helps!

I have the same issue. I may book the only time available (8:35) and try to check in before...it is Mothers Day though so I probably wont be able to get in before our time. My fault for changing my mind at the last minute for a restaurant so hard to get into...

Do they even take people without reservations?:headache:

To ease your minds about having that late of time. We also had a late time last Sept. Yes, I checked everyday too to see if I could get an earlier time to no avail so we kept the time we had. I think it was like 8:50pm. I had read on here that with that late of time there would be no intertainment which I told my kids they wouldn't and my youngest wasn't all that happy with. However, they did do the intertainment that night and it was one of the best meals we had.. Not as crowded either.

Go online to the disney.com website and try looking at openings for the day you want to change. Try several times a day, you never know. Like you, I had late ADR's for 'Ohana and for weeks I kept looking, and finally about 3 weeks out from my travel time, I found an opening for an earlier dinner and booked it. Don't cancel your later time though until you get confirmation of your earlier ADR first. DO keep trying, and good luck!

By the time I decided to book Ohana for spring break the earliest time I could get was 9:10. (The other opening I saw was on another day for 9:30.) We are used to eating late at home so it won't be that big of a deal unless they're running really late seating us or if when we get there I find we're being short changed on something. I would've preferred more like 8:30 or 8:45 but 9:10 won't be the end of the world. If they seat people until 9:30 then they should provide full entertainment and meal service until closing. I keep checking the online system but not religiously, just here & there. It didn't occur to me to just leave the system open all day so it would be more convenient. But I do agree that the online system is easy peasy.

I booked on line and changed times for several restaurants - the online system will automatically cancel an existing reservation when you book a new one for the same restaurant.
