POP Century Sept 17-23....

We're there Sept 21-Oct 1 at the Polynesian. I'm also hoping the dining plan doesn't bring up the crowds too much either. It's usually so great at that time of year--no wait for most of the attractions!

OT: BTW how many posts do I need before I'm done "Earning my Ears"?

I thhink that this will increase the attendance in the parks somewhat but i dont think it will do so significantly. Most people dont go this time because of school and many parents are not going to take kids out of school during the first 2-3 weeks to go to Disney.

I myself am going Aug 27- sept 2. I set those dates before i knew about the free dining then rebooked everything to take advantage of it. I cant go any other time after because i dont want to miss the entire first week of college classes. I am willing to miss the first day or two but no more than that. You miss a lot when you miss those first few weeks.

Port Orleans Riverside - 9/16 to 9/23.

We'll be there from the 17th to the 23rd, but staying offsite...I started a thread and have been keeping track of everyone going in Sept....the link is in my signature...

I'll be there September 15-21 solo. September 15th at the AKL, the rest of the trip at the BCV. Although it'll be my 7th solo trip, I've never gone in September before. One reason I picked this time is because eventually I hope to experience WDW during every month of the year. Eighth different month, only 4 to go.

We went last year during the exact same week with the free dining and all rides were walk ons all week (with the exception of Soarin', but it was brand new...max wait times were only 30 min from what we saw)....Make sure you make your dining reservations, a lot of people were turned away at the door because most of the major dining spots were sold out in advance (Canada, Italy, 50's PT, Castle meals, etc)

Thanks for the advice! Luckily, we made our ADR's a couple of weeks ago before free dining was announced so we were able to get all the times we wanted!

I'm taking DD out of school this week. (sshh - teachers don't know yet ;) ) I had already picked this week because there are no tests, school pictures, parties, etc. for her to miss. She's in preschool and her work now is already past what they're going to be doing in September, so I'm not worried about her missing a week of school. :teacher: I already had my trip booked before the free dining offer came out. I just consider it to be icing on the cake.

Oh - we're staying at the Contemporary (MK view :yay: )

some schools have fall break that week in Ga...

so I and mother will be there and hopefully my brother and his family - so 6 plus at least 2 friends - so make it 8.

not staying on site. :rolleyes1

Spicey and their dog are staying in the rooms with us....

I got them a 3-bedroom and us a 2-bedroom.... :woohoo: :dog2: :dog: :cat:

I hope everything goes well....

We will be there from 19th September until 3rd October.

We will be staying at Pop Century and are very excited and busy planning everything.

Our son will have his 4th birthday while we are there so we have booked a character breakfast at Cape May Cafe and we are also doing the Family Magic Tour at Magic Kingdom. :cheer2:

We had our first visit last year at a peak time and the crowds were huge, so i too am hoping the crowds will be low. :woohoo:

Fall Break??!-- didnt school just start! :rotfl2:

my orig ressie was for Sept 16/24 @ POR- since free dining......

Sept 16/24 moved to POP- DH wants to save EVEN MORE $$!

We're going Sept. 14-24 staying at POR. Don't worry about added crowds because of free dining. I think that "most" people are going to go in August while some schools are still out and it seems a lot of people are taking advantage of their vacation starting before Sept. 30th and getting the free dining into Oct, so they can go for MNSSHP and F&WF. I also think that Labor Day weekend may see more crowds than without the free dining, but mid Sept. will be wonderful!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!!! We usually go over labor day and it is DEAD, so I am looking forward to going later in the month! Do the happy dance, Sept crowds are SOOOO low!!! (we went last year over labor day with free dining.)

We are going from 9/19-9/26 and staying at AS Sports. Last year we enjoyed the free dining also=the crowds were very thin, am hoping for the same this coming September. Only 5 months to go- woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll be at POR too, Sept. 19 - 28.
See you there.

I have to say we went in 9-'03 and it was empty! last year we went the first week in october and it was way more crowded then we were used to!!
so we are back to the last week in september and hoping for lighter crowds! :cheer2:
i will say i made our ADRs asap. last year during our free dinning october trip all walkups were turned away. :rolleyes1

We are also going Sept 21 to the 28th at the poly. My friend went last year and is going again this year on the dining plan and she said the crowds were very low. :tigger:
