Anyone going late Oct early Nov who got a deal?

I got the Monster pin but it has a huge blackout date for the exact time I'm going: Oct 29 - Nov 6.

Has anyone gotten a pin for that timeframe? Does anyone remember if there were any deals released during that time last year?

I am trying to decide whether to go in late August before school starts or during Jersey week! Thanks!!!

We got a 20/30/40 pin code in mid April for dates from April - mid December including your dates. 4/11-7/1, 7/5-10/7, 10/11-11/23, 11/28-12/16. I think the monster one being sent now, looks like they are using it to fill periods with less reservations.

I received the same promo and our dates are almost identical to yours (10/29-11/7). I am hoping for a decent AP rate or a code that encompasses our travel dates. I was bummed that the Monster promo blacked out our datesd!

I was bummed also! However, I am now thinking that I'll book for end of August, before school starts. I'll get the 40% at WL. I know it's ungodly hot but we will be able to stay longer.

Plus, airfares for early NOV are like $400!!!!

We are going Nov 7-13 and using the 20% off PIN since we are at a value resort...but hoping for free dining since it is worth far more to us than 20% off a value room!!

Hello! We're in Union county! It's so hard to decide because August would mean we could stay longer and spend less! A LOT less. But there's the heat. Plus I'm having a hard time getting my mom, who I have to take with me to help with my 2 year old, to commit! Ugh! Who wouldn't want a paid vacation to WDW!? Anyway, I might have to just settle for less time in Nov. We wanted to go to Universal for 3 nights, too.

We used the Monster PIN to get 40% off for 10/28 and 10/29 at POP and the 20%, 30%, 40% PIN (good for the rest of the year) for 40% off at CR 10/30-11/3.

We are going October 30 - November 6 because I got my first pin in my email. With 40% off we are staying at Beach Club and can't wait. Booked for club level now but not sure if I'll keep that. I hope you'll get a discount soon!

We're going to be there 10/26-11/2, and we actually had three pins, according to CRO - free dining plan, free quick service dining plan, and 30/40% off resort.
We took the 30% off all star music, as we're normally not too into sit-down meals...we may however switch over to the quick service plan. I just don't know...

I am going for JERSEY WEEK. DD will be out of school for most of the week.
I did book this as a BOUNCE BACK stay. Only getting 30% because we are staying at a mod. Mu 10 y/ wanted us to save some money.
Gosh, I love her.

we used the monster 40% off for POP Oct 24 - Nov1. looking & waiting to see if anything better comes along. I don;t know if free dining is a better deal than the 40 off since it is the counter service DP at POP

How did you get the pin for that week? We are going to BCV from Oct 29-Nov 6th and haven't found a pin yet for that week for any discounts. Our last resort will be using the AAA discount which isn't fabulous.

To the Jersey people on this thread:

My family is going for the third year in a row in August. We have been very lucky with the weather the last two August trips. Yes, it was hot and humid, but the crowds were manageable, so we were into air-conditioning quickly enough to make it bearable. When rain came through late in the day--and it did most days--it would leave the air pleasant afterward. There was a night or two last year when I had to put on a sweater.

I just hope our good luck with the weather and crowd size holds out again this year. But I had to tell you--we've found the weather, crowds and free dining deal good enough in August to do it three years in a row.

Are any of you people getting these pins in DVC? I'm not sure since joining dvc if we get pins anymore. I want to plan a trip not on points but I'm not getting any pins or special deals mailed to me. This is frustrating.

DVC member here and no I don't get pins that are released to GP, I do sometimes get pins for AP holders. I got 2 last year, but haven't seen any this year.

We are going this timeframe too, but staying at BLT in a 2 bedroom, Oct. 31-Nov.4, then taking the free cruise that I got for adding on at BLT last year, then back on Nov. 7th and staying at the BCV - studio - for 5 more nights. So while I didn't get a discount, I did get a free cruise.

We are going the last week of Oct. I never get pins but we were able to book the 45% off bounce back for a bay lake tower studio while we were there 2 weeks ago. We like the villas or deluxe so this is a better discount for us (2 adults and 1 child) than free dining.

Just a question as I am from Canada...what is Jersey week and when is it? I'm wondering if it's similar to March break up here (mid-winter break - schools are closed).

We will be at the Poly Oct 21 - 28. No PIN yet - fingers crossed.
