Anyone going labor day weekend?

Not this year, but I did last year and it was more crowded then I had expected.

I've worked there during Labor Day Weekend. It is one of the most crowded times. I think it ties with Christmas and 4th of July for being crowded. Most hotels are at about 99 or 100% ocupancy b/c it is the last weekend of summer. if it is possible, check in on Labor Day and stay the rest of the week. everyone checks out on monday and even though it is crowded (many times the parks close early b/c they reach capasity and cm's aren't allowed to be there on monday) all the hotels go to about 15% ocupancy with no one there and it begins the off season for disney.

We always check in on the Sunday before Labor Day and head over to the parks and it's really not that bad but come Labor Day it is GREAT!! The rest of the week is a breeze except for the Friday evening after Labor Day and it gets crowded w/ Night of Joy. But the week itself is our favorite time to go.

We are going Labor Day weekend because of free dining, we were booked for october but we switched. Our last trip in 2003 was over labor day weekend. It was very very hot & humid and crowded until the day after Labor day then it was not bad at all. The parks close earlier after labor day.

We went last year on Labor Day and it was great. There was one other family on our floor of our hotel. We were on the 14th floor of the CR.

Only one complaint about that week and it was the Night of Joy. Didn't think about their dress rehearsals that start after the parks close. Ruined two nights of sleep for us.

We are arriving on the 6th of September this year. This is mostly due to wife taking a grad class or we would have been there on the 4th and enjoyed two more days of free dining.

i've heard so many posts that end of august through labor day is not that bad!!

i'm heading down 8/27 - 9/4 is it just the weekend that is really crowded?????

We have gone for the last few years the last week of august thru labor day and are going again. Last year on Sunday and Monday were pretty crowded, come monday evening everyone goes home. Have a great time!

We arrive on September 4th and stay until the 10th. I'm hoping that everyone checks out on Monday, the 4th!

We are going Labor Day Weekend - from 8/31 (arriving late at night) to 9/4.

I don't know where we are staying... hubby is surprising me for my 40th bday! I am hoping either Poly, WL or Boardwalk.

We are going to do some things in the parks, but mostly will just be taking in the atmosphere and free dining!
