Howdy fellow Mainers - we aren't going in October though - its August for us...No Blue Hill Fair this year. Hmmmm, can we handle that?

Isnt it really or should I say wicked HOT in aug??? I always go in the Fall, the crowds seem smaller. We have the Clam Festival here...Anyone ever been??

It is wicked hot in Florida in August....or at least it was when we were there in 99 and since I don't believe Florida migrated north just for me (dang, wouldn't that be nice though?) I feel pretty safe in believing it will be wicked hot this year too. . I would much rather go in October, November or January - but, unfortunately I turn 40 on Sept 1st...and this is in replacement of my Alaska cruise

I didn't know anybody had a Clam Festival - but I have been to Rockland for the Lobster Festival....that's kinda fun.

Hi, fellow Mainers...We're not going in October but we are going August 21-28.
I saw that someone else from Bucksport was going in August, maybe we will see you there.We will be celebrating our grandsons birthday there.

A belated April Fool's Day prank? We had about 14 inches when I left the house this morning....or as I said to DSO - it was Beagle Height - the snow was as deep as my beagle is tall....poor guy.

We go to the Clam Festival every year...I am in South Portland, and have lots of family in the Yarmouth/Falmouth area. I love it...its totally a famiky tradition now. We usually head to Disney in the fall or January-ish. I want to go this fall, DH wants to wait till January. We'll see

We're in Brewer and what a surprise this morning. I was really shocked. When I went to bed last night there was hardly any snow on the ground and I looked at DH and said "they'll have school tomorrow...theres hardly any snow". Kids have been out all day playing. Must say I don't mind a spring storm...melts quickly.
