Anyone going for Star Wars weekend?

My dd Julia is OBSESSED with Star Wars. I am trying to convince my dh to let me plan a short trip to Disney during Star Wars Weekend. Has anyone done this or doing this? Just curious and need info, we have never been for this.

We went in 2004 and it was the highlight of the trip. It is the MECCA for the starwars fan.

She will remember it forever. We still have our picture with the Wookie and Ewoks on our mantle.

Its truly awesome.

DS8 and I are going to WDW June 5-8, staying at AKV with my friend and her DS9. It will the 4th year in a row doing SWW for my son and I. It will be my friend and her son's first trip to WDW and I can't wait to show them around and see the magic through their eyes.

We will be there May 29-June 7. It is a surprise birthday trip for our DS (who will be turning 6) and he is a major star wars fan! We are not telling we are going or what's happening till we get there. I am so excited!!!

I booked it!!!!

I finally swayed hubby to give in. We are staying WL, woods view, and we used the spring discount. We will be there 5/28-5/31. My dd is going to flip out with Star Wars!

We went 2 years ago, both of my boys love more then life itself. Bring a special autograph book, characters are everywhere. Darth Vader was the hardest to get but it was my sons 10th Birthday so we made it happen. Also in the am get in line for the fastpasses for the autographs of the actors from the movies. They go fast, 300 per actor??? Then you can still get fastpasses for rides. They give you a photograph and sign it personally and pose for pictures. It's a must do!

We are planning for that next year but we first celebrate the birthday of DS on December, then after that planning for next trip. That would be exciting.

I planned my trip for May....long before I knew I would be down there for Star Wars weekend.

I went to Disney last year for the same time period (5/16 - 5/23) and missed it last year.

It must be earlier this year. I was looking forward to the Flower and Garden at EPCOT. I was so thrilled to find out that I would also be there for Star Wars weekend!!!

This was my Dad's favorite movie. He is no longer with us....but I think of good times dancing to the Ewok celebration in the living room....(yes he bought the soundtrack!!! ). Ahhhh the good ole days. I do miss him.

Can't wait for Star Wars weekend!!!!! He'll be there in spirit!

We are going to be there for it the first weekend in June.
My hubby is a fan and didnt really know it. I should have saved that as a surprise for him. oh well
