Anyone go the week BEFORE Labor Day (last week of August)

What were the park hours like? And the crowds?

That is when we always go because our schools open right after labor day.....the hours are definately shorter, but the price is right.....the crowds are there but manageable.....very hot too....do parks early, take an afternoon pool break, & head out again around 6:00.....have fun!

We were there from August 29th to supposed to be Sept. 4th. We had to leave early due to hurricane Frances. The hours were:

Epcot - (Future World) - 9:00 - 7:00pm (All Week)
( World Showcase) - 11:00 - 9:00pm

Animal Kingdom - 9:00 - 5:00pm (All Week)

MGM - 9:00 - 8:30pm (All Week)

Magic Kingdom - Monday - 9:00 - 8:30pm
Tuesday - 9:00 - 9:30pm

Spectro was on Tuesday at 8:30pm

I think the rest of the week for Magic Kingdom closed at 8:30pm not posative though.

As far as the crowds went it really wasn't to bad. For example we walked right onto Space mountain and went 2 times in a row. I hope this helps you. If you have any other questions just ask.

We have gone in the Aug 13-21 range. They start shortening the park hours that week-end that we leave. Then they are longer for Labor Day week-end and then even shorter for Sept. But with all the hurricane activity this year, I don't think we'll be looking at mid-Aug anymore.

went for the last two weeks in Aug 2003. our first week (the 3rd week in Aug) the crowds were not as bad as a full summer crowd, but they definately thinned out for our last week (the last week in Aug).

Would go this time again, but my fav is still mid to late Sept.
