I am planning a trip for February 16-26 2006.Does anyone know how crowded this time is?How about temps?I am hoping my kids will be able to swim.I am waiting to see if this time is considered Value. I can't go any earlier-have to plan around school breaks.

Hi Dismom,

It will be very crowded President's Day weekend and most of the week the crowds will be higher than average, though as the week goes on crowds will get smaller.

Weather is unpredictable. We were there President's Day week in 2004 and at the beginning of the week it was chilly (30s in the morning, 50s in the afternoon) but by the end of the week it was in the 80s during the day. Jan and Feb in Orlando can see wide swings in temperatures in just a few days.

Have fun!

Bob

Thanks! We survived Spring Break crowds for our first trip :cheer2: I am sure we'll have a great time!

It will be crowded. This Feb. we were able to swim every day. It really was quite beautiful. Pack a variety fo things and you should be fine. So long as you plan for crowds you should also be fine with the parks.

dismom,

We went to WDW from February 13-19 this year. The weather was warm enough to swim in the afternoons at the beginning of the week and then it got steadily cooler. It was still warm enough that we were able to spend the day at BB on February 16 and we had a great time!

The crowds were small at the beginning of the week. The Friday evening of President's Weekend was packed at MK! Luckily it was our last night, so there weren't many rides we hadn't already been on that we were sorry to miss!

Have a great trip!

I have been three times in February, always covering Presidents' Day.

First time weather fine, with one drizzly day. We managed to go to Typhoon Lagoon for one day.

Second time weather a bit more temperamental with el nino or something like that. Had a lot more rainy days but didn't stop us enjoying ourselves. Also Orlando got hit by a tornado. Temperatures were on the cooler side for part of the holiday. We went to Blizzard Beach.

Third time really hot weather with no rain and we went to BB and TL.

It does feel a touch cold when you are hanging about in queues for the slides when you are wet at this time of the year.

The crowds were fine, just a bit more crowded on Presidents' Day but there were plenty of Presidents' Day sales which were good. Quite often we got on the rides straightaway or only after a short wait.

I would recommend going at this time of the year. This year we have to go in July due to the kids' important school work but if I had the choice I would go back in February.

I've gone the first weekend in February for the past two years and it's great. I would avoid President's week though as it'll be quite busy.
