I have an upcoming Vegas trip and have been watching lots of YouTube videos. One of the videos talked about multiple ways to get various casino statuses through status match.
In my case it started with a Wyndham credit card. The credit card comes with a $95 annual fee but that is immediately offset by the Wyndham points awarded annually. Enough points to get 1 to 2 nights in a Wyndham hotel.
The second step was to match the Wyndham Diamond status to Caesars Diamond. Since we are staying in a Caesars hotel on our trip this saves us about $550 dollars for the trip. Caesars Diamond does not pay resort fees or parking/valet fees. It also comes with $100 in dining credit to be used once a year.
So that got me looking to see what else I could match.
It turns out that there is an agreement between Royal Caribbean/Celebrity and MGM. I was able to match my Royal Caribbean status to Celebrity Cruises and then to MGM to get MGM Gold. That will also help the Las Vegas trip since now we get free valet/parking at all the MGM resorts. We will be able to park at any resort we want to saving on an Ubers we might have taken.
A little research says I should also have some luck in Las Vegas at the Mirage getting some status and free play and perhaps at Fontainebleu.
Even if nothing comes of the other matches, getting status with Caesars and MGM will save me $500+ a year with my annual trips.
