Anyone get this new pin code....Missing out would be Goofy..

Give them a call, I talked to a very nice lady and she was very helpful. She said that it was a good idea that I sent away for the planning DVD and to keep my fingers crossed maybe my time will come. Just keep wishing:wizard:

Apparently, I got the lowest offer there is out there. My pin code today was for free park hopper and water park and more . . . a savings of $106. per trip for 2 adults. :confused3

I think I got the same thing....it was for the free upgrade to park hopper and water park and more.....4 day 4 night package at a value $472 per adult....savings of $106......October and November dates with other December dates available........
popcorn::

I received the same goofy deal at 2 seperate email addys for kids 3-9 free for 4 days. Saved us over $400.00 for our trip in November! Forgot to add that we were upgraded to a water view room!!

I got the "missing out on this offer would be goofy" offer, but mine is for buy 5 nights, get 2 free plus a gift card ($100 for value stay, $200 for stay at AKL). The dates are 11/28-12/17.

I got that one too, last night, however there was a lot of confusion when I called to get some prices....long story short....someone else's name, with my in-laws address, my email :confused3 They will honor it if I decide to book...seems to me like there are better PINs out there though!

I got the "Get a great deal on a 4-Night/4-Day package including accommodations, Theme Park tickets and a Disney Dining Plan: Value Resort $471, Moderate Resort $624 from 10/2 -11/24." I was so excited to get my first PIN! :cool1: Unfortunately, we're planning to go in January. I'm keeing my fingers crossed for another offer for 2010!

Trish

This is the same one I received on 4/30/09. Does it seem like a good price to you?

The pin in my Disney Destination e-mail is not matching any of our names at my address. Disney looked under our names and no pin code is there.

I'm in the process of faxing this Goofy e-mail from Disney Destinations to them to see what they can do for me.

I'm not a happy camper right now.

Okay, I'm wondering WHERE these offers are coming from?

When I called the guy was patient for me as NONE of the information they had matched my actual life. It was at least me, though. :rotfl:
I JUST changed my name with SS (my 1st anniv. is in two weeks ) so I've been using my maiden name on everything.
They had my married name. :confused3
DH and I bought a house in December...
They had that address. We don't even live there yet!

It went to an e-mail that we ONLY setup for RSVP's to our wedding reception. I check it infrequently, as some family members do still e-mail us there. Poof, PIN OFFER!

...saw you got satisfaction, that is great!
I'm still trying to decide what to do about my ID's. I booked my plane ticket under maiden name, as that is how my passport is. But I was going to switch my DL.. but am afraid to travel under two names with two different ID's! :rotfl:

..we got the

Select Disney Value Resort $ 538 * Plus, you’ll also receive a

per adult, based on adult double occupancy in a standard room. For stays most nights 10/2/09–11/24/09. per adult, based on adult double occupancy in a standard room at Disney's Wilderness Lodge or Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. For stays most nights 10/2/09–11/24/09.

I used it to book POP October 24-31st for $1074.88 w/ 8d MYW w/ $100 GC.

This is the same one I received on 4/30/09. Does it seem like a good price to you?
I got the same deal. I already am booked October 24-31 at POFQ. I am currently paying rack rate, but with the cost of what they quoted me with dining plan and tickets, it is a better rate than the "goofy" e-mail I received for a value resort with tickets. Maybe I'm figuring something wrong. I assume if there are 2 adults and one 13-year old in the room, I am paying $377 per person for 4 nights, or $1,131, double that for my stay of 8 nights, add the dining plan, and it is more expensive.

I just posted this on another thread somewhere, but I see that it kinda fits here, too. Thought you guys might want to read it. :goodvibes

It's 4-night/4-day package...including accomodations, Theme Park tickets and a Disney Dining Plan. $471 Select Value Resorts $624 Select Mod. Resorts Most nights 10/2-11/24 *(fine print says to ask for other great rates 11/28-12/17)

I asked if this could be applied to our existing ressie at AKL for the dates 12/3-12/7 and they said "yes".Here's the savings breakdown as I see it:
Our current Room Only cost is $854.45 for 4-nights Pool View at AKL
I figure 4-days Park Hopper for 3 adults as $824.85 (Undercover Tourist)

Total $ 1,679.30 If we added a meal plan, it would be $2,195.30

The C.M. broke the "offer" down the best she could and it came to:
Total $1,985.52...but I factored in upgrading to a Park Hopper and it was $2,135.52

So, as I figure the bottom line savings as being $59.78 and we would then be tied down with the stricter cancellation policies of a package and the loss of meal flexibility with the Dining Plan. :headache:

It was exhausting doing the math, but in our case (if I did it correctly) it pays for us to skip the "deal". I'm only breaking this down because I know a lot of you are bummed for not getting this recent Pin Code. But look at the bright side, sometimes deals aren't as great as they may seem!

I just re-read my post, and I want to make it clear that I'm not knocking the "offer" itself. I was simply pointing out that these deals aren't necessarily good deals for everyone. You really need to analyze them based on your resort, ticket types, etc... I was feeling so left out when it seemed as if everyone was getting these Pin Codes but me, but now I realize that they aren't always the best way to go. Bottom line...do the math before booking and don't cry if you don't get one. ;)

Does anyone know if this can be applied to the Land portion of a Land and Sea vacation package?

We received the kids stay, play and dine free and we are staying at the Poly during the time period of the offer, with a four day cruise following.

I'm guessing not, but it would be cool.

I just called myself and referenced my reservation with free QS and I was told I could uprgrade for the price difference between the packages, if I wanted to go to the plus dining plan. It's like $10/day per adult to do the upgrade to plus dining.

I would call again and make it extremely clear that you are willing to pay OOP (assuming you are willing, here) the cost upcharge to go from free QS to the plus dining meal package. The CM may have thought you wanted the plus dining for free at a value reosrt and that's not the offer; so, the CM would say no in that case. If you wanted plus dining for free, you would have to do a mod or a deluxe. I can't see Disney refusing more money if you are offering to pay the price difference between the meal packages; so, I believe you can do this based on my recent phone call to Disney.

It's worth a try to call back and try again.

We saved $284 using the Big Kid at Little Kid prices. We are staying at Mod with the regular dining plan.

It doesn't hurt to ask. When I called for specifics, they said that there was a 3 night min and 14 night max using that offer. Hope you can use it :goodvibes

Please let us know how that works out. I would imagine Disney will say there's already a built-in savings in your land/sea package and they won't do a double discount.

Hey I actually got a pin under the same title "Missing out would be Goofy". It's slightly different though, here's what mine says:

Enjoy FREE ticket upgrades!
Get the Park Hopper® Option AND the Water Park Fun & More Option added to your tickets, FREE when you purchase this package that includes accommodations and Theme Park tickets.
4-Night/4-Day vacation package,

:confused3

I got this one also. But, I'm an AP holder so taking them up on this offer would be just goofy!

I got the buy 4 get 3 pin and just booked two rooms at the Poly for December 10-17. With such a great deal, my brother, SIL and nephew are coming with us!

DH and I stayed at the Poly same dates in 2008 with the 40% off pin for room only. We'll do about $200 better this year.

There are 5 different It Would Be goofy promo e-mails right now. Was this one of them or is it some other discount?

It was definitely one of the "It would be Goofy" emails. Pricing shown was for a value during Oct-Nov, small print said call for other resorts and dates Nov 28 - Dec 17.

I called about applying the pin to our Land and Sea and was told, no, it could not be done. However, they said they would price out my cruise separately to see if it would be worth it to book the elements separately and apply the pin to the land stay. So, here is what I had:

3 nights Poly (Garden View), 4 night Cruise (Cat. 4 stateroom) in October for 3 adults and 2 children. This included airfare, ground transfers, vacation coverage, 3 day base tickets, but did not include dining on the land stay. Total price was $7,972,40.

Using the kids stay, plan and dine free pin code, this is what I have now:

3 nights Poly (Garden View), 4 night cruise (Cat. 4 stateroom) in October for 3 adults and 2 children. I decided to book my own airfare with Southwest
($1,096.00). We still have the ground transfers and the vacation coverage. We still have 3 day base tickets, but now all five of us having dining. Total price, including the airfare, is: $7,564.99.

Not only did I save $407.41 just off the top, but now all of us have the dining plan for 3 days as well (which I planned to add on anyway). That would have been another $39.99 per adult per day and $9.99 per kid per day or another $420.00, give or take a few cents. So, in reality I'm saving more like $827.41.

That's a savings I can live with!:yay:
