Anyone get the DC video?

Really been enjoying researching for our upcoming Discovery Cove visit.
My family's going to love it, no doubt.

One negative that seems to keep popping up is the cost of the photos/video they offer.

We take photos for our own amazement and amusement, but we're photo-challenged. ;)
So, we plan to buy some photos.

My question is about the video they offer:
Does it include the sound of the actual experience,
or is it overlaid with random music?

I'd hate to buy it, get home and find there's no real "sound."

Anyone get the video?

The video has no sound from your actual experience. That part REALLY DISAPPOINTED me when I got the video because I so loved the interaction our trainer had. Wish they could have a microphone directly with the trainer's voice-over, so then no "inappropriate" conversations are picked up.

I still enjoyed the video because you don't remember all the things you actually did get to do with the dolphin - especially if you watch it later - as in a few years (like when getting ready for your child's graduation party).

But the music makes it very boring. I have video editing software, so actually turned down the volume on their music and played our graduation songs over it. I mean, how many people actually ride a dolphin?!?

I was afraid of that. But as you say ...
... how many people actually ride a dolphin?!?

That's why it it won't be an automatic "no" for us.
It's so unique, maybe we'll just go ahead and buy it
and then tinker with it, like you did.
Thanks for the idea. :thumbsup2

when we went in 2006 the video was amazing with all the talking included. We could everything the trainer said to us and I booked the special birthday package as it was my husband's birthday so I was really pleased with the video. Last year just my daughter swam with the dolphins so we took photos and recorded it ourselves, unfortunately there was a problem with our camcorder so none of the recording came out. We went back to Discovery Cove and bought the video, not realising they no longer record sound, just some music. I was so dissappointed :sad2:
