We went yesterday… we have platinum passes and are the only ones not blocked out. Most of the guests we saw scanning in had day tickets, and most of the people I chatted up around the park were day tickets. I think the price of the tickets $134 compared to Disneyland at $179 makes a difference… I would love to see a breakdown of how many platinum passes were there yesterday vs. day tickets. But I’m sure not having all passes blocked out contributed.
I have never seen a theme park so crowded in my entire life. We got there at 8, and usually on the rare days Universal opens at 8, it’s a ghost town. Not yesterday. We were able to get plenty in down in the lower lot, and we left at 2:30, and went and did some other things and came back at 6:30 because we have express line after 3. Hoards off people were leaving, but the park was still insane.
