Anyone get headaches from water?

Maybe I drank to much. I get one when I get dehydrated. Today, it is so hot, and I have drank about 100 oz in about 2 hours. Now I have a horrible headache. Coincidence?

Having a headache when you are dehydrated makes sense. Generally everything is out of whack by then and you are not feeling well.

A headache when drinking too much water? No. However, I think your real problem is the fact that you drank too much too quickly. 100oz. in a day is one thing, over the course of the day, but in 2 hours, that is too quick.

Try drinking about 12 oz. of water every hour to two hours instead of all at once. I think that after spreading it out throughout the day, you still find that you are thirsty (and drinking alot), then you might want to check with your dr., as it could be something else going on.

That is a lot of water to drink in that amount of time. If you drink too much water it can have a major impact on your body and you can basically drown. As a basic rule a person shoul drink approximately half of what they should weigh, for example if the weight you should be is 120 pounds then you would drink 60 fl oz of water to keep hydrated. Of course that depends on the amount of exercise that you are geeting and how hot or humid the conditions. Hope that this helps.

That is certainly an amazing amount of water in a short amount of time. It could be related to the headache. If you have the thirsties and the water is not quenching I too would talk with the doc.

I was wondering that it might be a headache from a trade-off of water and caffeine. Just not sure if I should even mention this because it is an amazing amount to consume that quantity of water in a short interval and no other suggestion would be warranted.

Was it just this one time thing?
