Hi all... posted this in a different board with no luck. Maybe this would be a better forum for my question.

Our DS is planning to ask his DGF to marry him on the 4th of July while on an evening carriage ride. Anyone become engaged this way? Disney Florist is delivering a "carnation pillow" with a Cinderella slipper & tiara on it to Ft W. that day and the coachman is supposed to hand it to our DS sometime during the ride.

If you did this, can you describe your experience please!

Our DD and her boyfriend will be on the carriage ride just ahead of them (so she won't get suspicious) and will be waiting for the "engaged couple" when they return from the ride to congratulate them & take pictures. Will the coachman take pictures during the event?

DH & I plan to have them meet us on the FT. W. beach w/champagne right after. What do you think?

Thanks so much! We're so excited for them!

I didn't get engaged on a carriage ride in Disney, but I did get engaged on a carriage ride through Central Park in NYC! It was fabulous! I'm sure her's will be equally as great!!

This how I got proposed to!!!!! It was AMAZING!!!!!! It really was a fairytale proposal! We went on a carriage ride, and we actually stopped at a place that over looked the water with the castle in the background! I didn't suspect ANYTHING! I never saw the pillow until the driver brought it over. It was so beautiful! They will take pictures, but we forgot to take a picture. Let me know if I can answer any more of your questions!
Here is a picture of my pillow:

Kendra!

That looks gorgeous! It's hard to tell in the picture, did your DF have your ring in the slipper? If so, how did he get the ring to the driver?

No, he kept the ring in the box, and got down on one knee!!!!

Thanks so much for the info Kendra. We're thrilled for them and can't wait.

We hope the Concierge will work with us and help us plan a mini champagne celebration right afterwards on the FT W. beach where we can see the fireworks. Something very small, ie: mini cake, strawberries, etc. Does anyone know if this is possible and should we call in advance or just contact the concierge when we get there? We will arrive 6/29 and he's proposing 7/4 so they'd have a few days to work with.
