Anyone get discount for Christmas week?????

Has anyone been able to book anything with a discount for Christmas week??? Is there any discount that will carry through Christmas week if you check in before Christmas??? TIA!!!

RARELY, is there a discount for the week OF Xmas - New Years. Rooms are booked to capacity
It is the BUSIEST time at the world.

There was a FD offer up to 12.24 (I think those were the dates) but that offer ended last week.

Well I'm still keeping my fingers crossed. I am hoping for a last minute AP offer.

We only made our reservations recently and there was still plenty of availability at almost every resort. In addition I made my ADRs last week at 90 days and was able to get everything I wanted at exactly the time I wanted. Then a couple days later I changed my mind and even able to get my changes exactly when I wanted them. I had less trouble getting these ADRs then I normally do when we go during June. I don't think the resorts are anywhere near as full as they normally are. There are a lot of people with a lot less disposable income this year and I think its got to be hurting resort occupancy.

However we are staying at the pop so it was the 5/2. We are only going to be there for 6 nights only going to get 1 night free. So the savings was only going to be about $30 for us.

I was thinking that since they offered the FD up till the 17th and buy 4 get 3 till the 24th people would come before or after Christmas more then usual.

I also got all my ADR's the days and times I wanted with no problem at all, so I am hopefull that it won't be as packed this year as normal.

Bummer . I called the first day out of curiosity it was available and I could do it for 12/19 - 12/26. I kept my AKV reservation, though.

I was able to get the 4/3 discount for POR for Dec. 20 - 27. Just booked it the other night - the reg rate was $3600, with the 4/3 it was $2400 - YAY!!!!!!

This particular resort is the very most popular during that time of year and sells out the fastest, so it is least likely to have discount codes available. I don't know for sure, but perhaps that is the problem with your not being able to apply this discount? Did you try pricing out different resorts, or is your heart set on WL?

There is a TA with "exclusive" room-only rates for select resorts during that week. WL is not included, but several deluxes are, including Poly, YC and GF (also great that time of year, esp. GF). Why not give it a try? www.**********************.com

I don't think it's so much an inconsistency as the fact that the resort you want doesn't have any discounts past the 24th. I bet if you looked at availability online for other resorts, as it appears some of the other posters have, you might find one or two that do have discounted availability.

It's like the last time the 4/3 deal came out for April. I was checking in two days after Easter, and I booked the deal right away. But a day or two later, those dates came up as a blackout, and you couldn't book the package until the Sunday after Easter. So obviously they filled up enough rooms at my resort, that they didn't need to discount any more that particular week. WL has been notorious the past couple years for not having any problems filling up at rack rate in December - and full at rack rate means no rooms left over to discount.

I guess you'd just have to weigh the value of the WL experience against how much you could save if you can find discounted availability at another resort, and see which way you'd want to go. Sometimes I think it's worth it to switch and sometimes not - it varies.

My guess is they are allowing check-in up to 12/20 (with 12/20, 12/21, 12/22 and 12/23 paid) or 12/21 (12/21, 12/22, 12/23, 12/24 paid) but not after. Can you adjust your dates?

We actually check in on December 16th but I already have a 40% discount through the 24th. I will have to call and see if I can possibly get the 7for4 deal for the 20th or 21st.

They should have been booked solid by now at most of the Disney resort hotels for the day after Christmas through New Years. This year, there is availability in every category, yet they do not offer any discounts for anyone checking in past Decemeber 24th. You would think they would want to fill the resorts during Christmas week. Are they running the resorts with less staff rather than trying to fill the rooms?
