When do they send you your tickets and package?? We are going the 23rd of this month.

Thanks for any info you can share with me - now I am nervous!

You paid at 30 days out? They likely sent it at the end of the week when you paid (that's what they told me, that they ship them on Fridays), and they should be there soon. They told me they are sent from Anaheim.

Now...you have to be there to sign for it. They do call ahead of time, but "ahead of time" was defined a bit looser than I might have defined it. They called and left a message that they were delivering THAT day, between x and y hours.

And they showed up half-an-hour later.

Worked for us, as I'm at home with DS, and it was a day off for DH, but that sort of thing couldn't work for another family!

And we were in more of a time crunch, b/c while our stay started on the 17th, we were leaving our state on the 10th. But it arrived in plenty of time.

Whatever you do, when you get the package and are on your way to DL, do NOT take that packet into a mall with you, then set it down on a Radio Shack counter, and then forget the packet. Do not, I tell you!

:scared:

It all worked out, we realized it not 2 miles down the freeway, raced back, I ran back in and snatched the packet from the counter in between the employee and a customer, and everything was in there, but...I don't recommend anyone copying us.

Oh, and when you get it, make copies of the backs of the tickets, then put the tickets in the safest wallet or purse, and put the copies elsewhere. That way in case they are lost, you have SOME recourse to get them cancelled and replaced. I had thought repeatedly to do taht, but never did, and was carrying around the whole packet, totally intact...:rolleyes1

Anyway, you should be getting it soon. VERY exciting!

I used Costco in January and the package was delivered by courier 2 weeks prior to the trip. Costco informed me of this when I had booked as I had booked a few months in advance.

We booked through costco too and leave on the 24th of October.
It will be interesting to see who gets what when.
We were also told we had to be home to receive the package, but there would be no call or communcation beforehand. Luckily my DH and I work from home. Otherwise, UPS will try to deliver 2 or 3 times.

I got a confirmation from costco telling me when to expect them , 2 weeks before the trip and yes I got a call first, I had mine sent to work where I knew someone would sign for them.

we are booked for 23rd of october thru disney and haven't gotten stuff yet. Never fear, they will show up. We booked a DCL trip last april thru Costco and I have not complaints. Marci

can you stay more than 4 nights with a costco trip? back in august when i was checking out prices, it would not let me book more than 4 nights, and we were staying 7.

Maybe you need to call them to book more than 4 nights?:confused3

All I do know is that you can't book more than 4 nights online through Costco. I don't know why because even online a person is basically booking directly through Disney. I think it's weird.:scratchin

We wanted to book 6 nights, but since we could only book 4, we decided to stay at the HOJO for a couple of nights and then spend the last 4 nights at the PPH.

Thanks for all the replies - yes I booked several months ago and prepaid and I have my printouts - I just could not remember when the "real" tickets were supposed to arrive - two weeks is about now - so I will keep an eye out and hopefully they will give me enough notice so I can have someone there to get the tickets!

And I hope I dont leave them in a Radio Shack! (tee hee)

Are these packages good deals??

Well....I find it hard to answer that.

I'm glad I booked with them because, well, I belong to them and like to "use" my membership. They use Walt Disney Travel Company, and in fact after you make your reservation that's who you are talking to anyway (though they answer the phones with the Costco name), so I found it to be excellent customer service. They "include" a character breakfast, which is nice if you're like me and will nickel-and-dime yourself out of things you want, if you have to pay for them at the time of doing the things.

I also liked the idea of getting the lanyard (light blue with Costco Travel all over it) and the pin (cute castle pin only given for travel packages, BUT you can trade right then and there with the CM if you don't want that one). Well, you get a *voucher* for those, and pick them up at one of several stores at the parks.

I also enjoyed the Mickey's ToonTown Morning Madness vouchers, though much of my enjoyment stemmed from DS getting us chosen as the honorary family that morning (otherwise we would have just been sitting, watching it). We never found time for any of the shows, so we still have the vouchers for the Preferred Seatings (though they don't expire until late January, so we still plan to use them), and I didn't use the coupon for Marceline's. There was a 10% off a $50 purchase coupon that was VERY helpful on the day that DH decided he NEEDED Disney crocs, at the same time that DS NEEDED Buzz Lightyear tennis shoes...and they say that WOMEN are shoe fanatics! :rolleyes1

But when I priced everything out, for the tickets and the room, I could have done better booking separately. At the time that I booked, for the time I booked for, the price I paid Costco was the cost disney.com was charging, adding in almost the exact cost of a character breakfast for the three of us (it was something like 1 dollar less than disney.com cost plus those breakfasts). BUT then there was the $20 Disney giftcard, so that brought the character b'fast "cost" down a little. And we wanted to do the character b'fast anyway, but I knew I'd talk myself out of it by the time we got there, so pre-paying through the "free" costco b'fast worked for me. :upsidedow

For this vacation, doing the package worked for us. Now that we have a little knowledge under our belts (forgot to mention that we did the opposite of disney-super-mom, in that we did 4 nights at PPH, and then did 2 nights at HoJo, so we saw the offsite world as well), I'll feel better about winging it. That, and we upgraded to APs, so have no need for tickets for a whole year. :cheer2:

We arrive October 24th.
We got our package today, October 3rd.
UPS called this morning and told us it would arrive
between 8am and 7pm. It came at 6:00pm.

For all those who get the package and don't need the Toontown Madness tickets, make sure you find the thread of those looking for them....

We are going Oct 25th and we are getting our package today....assuming UPS doesnt show up in the 2 slots that my wife takes and picks up the lids from school! :O

We got the package yesterday, October 3, for the October 23rd arrival - Woot! Thanks, Costco!!

Can't wait!!!
