Leave that creamy stuff off the top and you would have a good cup of coffee.
The crema is the froth that is created when you extract coffee at the right water temperature. It is pure caffeinated bubbly! The crema is normally a good yardstick to judge a barista.
You got stood up?

Looks like you had a nice meal at the Cheesecake Factory on your own anyway.
I love all your photos from Downtown Disney

I'm totally with you - I would never go into the park on that first day in a sleep deprived state. As much of a shame as it was to miss the Friday the 13th Villains party...
I was fine with being stood up. If I was awake and in the timezone, I too would have gone to the Villians party.
I think that we had a lively, engaging and intelligent conversation.
I will take one of each, thank you very much!
I loved all your photos, even the pesky vegetarian food porn looked pretty good! I love the beignets from Brennans! Your photos of World of Disney are so inspired! How neat to capture such a unique perspective on the displays.
Thanks Alison. I love those Villian hands in WoD. I've taken a picture of one or two; but not the whole set like this time.
I still need to read the latest update but I didn't want to forget this. In regards to your lack of good coffee, I bought one of these for my mom and stepmom, it's a French press and mug in one, they love it. Might be an option for your next trip.

OOOH! Thanks, Pam.

It might be something I need to add to my Christmas list for myself this year.
(But what will I do for coffee grounds in the US??

)
Too bad you didn't get to have your meet. But it looks like you had a great dinner and a fun, albeit exhausted!, time at DTD.
I was fine with the no-mee(a)t.

I think it worked out great for me and my family. We were definitely tired by that time and a quiet night meandering through DTD was what we wanted.
Hi! I'm here

....love your photos...makes me sad we didn't get to DTD on this trip!
Bobbi
You can always add a trip to DTD on your next vacay. (How envious am I that you can go so often!

)
It's nice to see the pictures from the Residence Inn Maingate where you have stayed. The room looks very comfortable and has a small kitchen which is nice to have. But I'll stick at my preferred hotels on Harbor Blvd when I go to Anaheim.
All the food from the Cheesecake Factory and the Halloween treats look very nice. That was one of the things that I didn't do during the trip is to go in DTD and look for any Halloween decorations. But you got to see the Halloween treats at the Marcelines Confectionery shop which is a fun place to go and get treats.
The
Lego store at DTD is fun to go in and see all the creations.
The pictures from the World of
Disney store character displays look very nice up close. The Friday the 13th Villains party that night was just crazy. I definitely wanted to go that day but I was just glad to come along at the last second with my DB and his GF.
Very nice update.
And I'm so glad that you managed the LAST second trip as well, Bret. I linked Alison's TR at the start of my TR and will be adding yours once I get up to our meet.
The Residence Inn was nice and it was our 3rd time back there; but I think DH and I agreed that we probably wouldn't stay there again.
Nothing wrong with it....just that it seemed a little too far away this time.
I'm late but I'm here! Love all the photos! Love Fran and Alison's new house!!!
I used to go crazy on the 9 hours flight to Frankfurt....I will suck it up so I can go to Australia in a couple of years.
Jill in CO

Glad you made it over!!!
You're coming to Australia?? I'm always up for a DisMeet (assuming that you're here when I'm in the country and not away on holiday). How fun! Something to look forward to. When are you thinking of coming?
Great witty photo captions. I bet most of those people regret not joining you at The Cheesecake Factory (which I cannot eat there without getting dessert). The Unleash the Villains was madness according to the reports. You're lucky you skipped it, since standing still and not being able to move or accomplish much would not be fun whilst jet lagged.
Beignets. Yay. I guess that was worth skipping dessert at the Cheesecake Factory.
I am going to eat as many Halloween treats as I can without getting sick. They all looks fantastic.
Kim - I'm pretty sure that the other Aussies were having a blast in the parks and didn't miss me at all.
I love that shirt too. It was one of those things that I wished I had bought; and I should have picked it up on the night.....but I figured that there would be time to shop later.
Yeah. Right.
Wonderful start!!! I do so love your photos - and the food! Yum!!

Looking forward to reading and seeing more!!

You can stay. You're very good for my ego.
Hmmmmm.....note to self - enstead of losing 10 pounds vacation weight in preperation 4 my adventures n2
DISneyland next December, I see I need to lose 15!!

(MAN!!!! I felt like HOMER SIMPSON looking at a donut when I was droolng er......LOOKING at your food pics!!)

I've been slowly lurking on your PTR. You're doing so well on the weight loss front. Looking forward to seeing your pictures from DL when you go.
LOVE the Haiku and of course your usual writing style! Just the thing to lift my day! Think Fran and Alison's house to be looks really great. Yes pity about missing a 13th Villian's party but its no fun being that tired and at DL, as we discovered this year on our first day at DLP-the mind is willing-the body is not! Have no doubt you more than made up for it in the coming days and the food looked yum at the Cheesecake Factory (still haven't quite made it to one yet -don't know what keeps stopping us!)
Thanks Wendy. The Cheesecake Factory is one of DH's favourites. And we know that they have vegetarian food there that he will eat. It's worth a stop, on one of your trips.
