Just wondering what Wild Waves Enchanted Village is like. Is it worth a 2.5 hr drive down? We would also have to go on a Sat or Sun due to my work schedule - I know this would be the busiest time, but just 'how' busy does it get? Is it going to be worth coming down or are the lines soooooo long its long waits to do anything. This would just be a day trip sort of thing. Thanks for any advice/comments!

I live about 20 minutes from Wild Waves and have been there. To be honest I went on a weekday and it was packed. I can only imagine what it would be like on a weekend. It's fun, a great way to keep cool, but my kids would pretty much have to beg me to go there again. Only because there are just so many people and to me when a place is so crowded, it takes away from the enjoyment. It took about 45 minutes just to get into the park and get a parking spot because there was such a long line of cars at the entrance.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but I just wanted to be honest with you.

No, this is great to know. My daughter and I are looking for a quick overnight getaway of some sort....got a small budget of $200 to work with - was looking at that....but looks stressful! LOL. Thanks!

I've never been a huge fan of the place, it's fun, but it's always busy and hard to get in and out of. We haven't been since they added the new rides at Enchanted Village though. DS loves to go when he can.

They have pictures of Bill Gates there up on a local radio station site, it's rather scary! I still want to know if he used the Microsoft employee discount! :teeth:

We went there last summer and were pretty disappointed. The rides are more like a carnival than anything else (with the exception of a couple of small rollercoasters). We didn't do the waterpark but it looked like everyone was having more fun there than on the rides. I don't know if I would make a special trip with the park as my destination, but if I was in the area for other things we might go there again.
