Hi, if you are mainly interested in disney as opposed to universal then you are better off staying in Lake Buena Vista as International Drive is a bit further away. We are off on our 5th Florida trip next April and we have stayed all over, sometimes booking package deals other times doing it all individually on the internet. First of all see if Disney has any offers on, we have free dining next year and that was on top of 40% off the Old Key West resort stay. Check the disney website you can book accommodation only or include flights. It depends when you are wanting to travel. My next choice is for the Marriott Village in Lake Buena Vista, the cheapest of the 3 hotels being the Fairfield Inn. Rooms are a good size with fridge and microwave and you get free breakfast and also shuttles to Disney if you don't want to drive. Everything is clean and they have a nice pool area. It is also only a mile down the road from the Premium Outlet which you need to visit. The Marriott Village can be booked with Virgin holidays if you are booking a package or directly on the Marriott website. If booking through Marriott website you can reserve without paying and cancel right up until the day of arrival if you change your mind. Very useful if you want to keep your options open.
