We're going to be driving thru Indianapolis the day after Thanksgiving...probably around 7am time frame...how is traffic on this day? Is it really bad, or slowed down from normal rush hour cuz its a holiday? Thanks!

Where will you be driving? You'll need avoid the major shopping areas on "black Friday" (especially the northeast corner). "Rush hour" should be much lighter if you're just going through town though.

We'll be driving from Chicago area, on 65 down south to Florida! Just passing thru, but trying to decide whether we should go thru Indianapolis, or go thru Il.

The Indy route will definitely be faster. Traffic should be OK north/south. Take 465 around the west side of Indy rather than 65 through downtown and you'll avoid any downtown rush hour (not that there will be much of one that day).
