Anyone from NY not able to join Connections??

I tried to join Connections through their website and it told me that Connections is not available in my area, so I called their 877 number. (Just a side note that I have been called in the past by my credit card company to join Connections and I declined, not knowing about the WDW discounts.) They told me that because "NY is a strict city and does not like telemarketing" I cannot join Connections. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there anything I can do? I am a little frustrated, especially because I've been offered the membership before!

Think we had a problem similar to what you are experiencing. Tried to join through Connections website (got link thru mousesavers site) and could not. When I phoned Connections they suggested I try through Mypoints or Milesource. Can't recall which (I'll see if I can dig out my paperwork later to let you know for sure). On Mypoints or Milesource they had a link where you can join Connections and if my memory serves me correctly it was $10 less and you earned quite a few points for joining this way. We had no problem joining Connections then.

I've joined twice using a link from Mypoints. I wonder why it's considered a telemarketing
problem, the company isn't contacting anyone, we're trying to contact them.

I don't know why either, but at least now I have a way to join....Thanks a lot guys, I feel much better now.
