Anyone for Maine?

No, we're going the first week. Only a couple more years and it will probably be too hard to take the kids out of school, but for now we love the low crowds and lower airfare! I just love getting away at that time of year, though. It really gives the spirits a lift. It's just so hard coming back to the COLD!!

Well, I know of one DVCer from Portland on these boards, but she's participating in Mousefest so she couldn't check in right now.

Hmmmmm That would be me! I'm from South Portland!

It was 52 degrees here today! Great December weather, but not good if it stays warm. Last time it was too warm during the winter, I lost a lot of plants because we never had any snow sover to protect them from the eventual deep freeze.

Here's hoping for more seasonal weather!

Yes, an amazing day! Our thermometer actually read 58 down here in coastal York County. We had friends who were in the World for T'giving during that FL cold snap, and it was warmer in MAINE than it was in FL! Now, I am loving this mild weather, but that is just WRONG!

That might as well have been us. We had friends that were out golfing at the local course Thanksgiving weekend while we were enjoying a cold spell at the Boardwalk. The next weekend we were up for Christmas Prelude and it was cold! Seems to have been the only cold weather so far and we were lucky enough to catch it. Now it's nice and we are gone until May! Yikes! Please enjoy for me while it lasts.

We live in the Southern tip area of Maine and we DRIVE to WDW once a year w/three small kids!! DH grew up around here so he thinks it's boring and always talks about moving to FL but I love it here and don't want my kids growing up anywhere else! (although I have to admit this warm spell is kind of nice )

We are Webhannet people but I do love the cemetary holes at Arundel. They have character. I don't love the par 3 (I think 13th?) over the water. Hope you can continue enjoying the good weather.
