Anyone for Dec 2008???

Okay, it's now official! Just booked our trip earlier today--Dec 6-14 at POFQ!!

Now the long 329 day wait begins.....

We're looking at the first week in December. We usually go the week before the week of Thanksgiving, but we want to see Disney in all its Christmas glory!

I just booked our trip and the only things that stayed the same is that we are going to WDW in December, getting the Deluxe DP, and some of our ADR's.
Original trip - Dec. 18th - Dec 27th staying at the WL with a woods view bunk bed room.

After the family meeting b/c my DH couldn't get the week of Christmas off:
Trip we have - Dec. 7th - 14th staying at the Poly with a MK view room.

I keep thinking my Disneymoon trip is in November but it's really not. Most of the trip is in December and ALL of our time in WDW is December.

Just got some of the final details cleared. Booking the reservations on Monday. Planning to stay at the Poly.

This is going to be one of the best trips ever. I can't wait! :goodvibes

My DH and I are doing our first split stay: Dec. 9-14 at The Polynesian (first time) and Dec. 14-19 at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (our favorite).:woohoo::cheer2:

Wahoo! December 08! the wife and I are planning a group trip with another married couple before we have kids... we wanted to do one round of MVMCP before we have to watch the kids and worry about it.

We are thinking about staying on park for the first time... I know, we're late bloomers... just so much to plan...

Take care,
J.

We will be there Dec 21-28 staying at POR. This will be our first time during Christmas too and we are SOOOOO excited.

It won't be official until Friday or one day next week but we are looking at Dec 7-14 staying at CSR.

We are still a little weary about the crowds because of the Pop Warner but want to see CHristmas. We were planning in early Jan but moved it up.

Count me in

I will be there Nov 29 - Dec 7,2008 at AsMo :cheer2:

iluvwesties (aka Carol)

Woo hoo DH and I are going Dec 6-13 2008, our first time in December, with his parents.

Cheerful thoughts about it being teeeennnn whoollllle months before going?...

More time to save up for spending money (I am going to try and go on a Disney Dollar run once a month)
It's almost February, so we can say 10 more months, instead of 11
It's only 4 months until we can make ADR's!! (and don't we all know, it takes forever to finalize where we want to go!)
Maybe they'll put out a new planning DVD in our waiting time!

Any others??

I think we are set on the first week in Dec.
DH and I stayed at Caribean in Oct'01 for our 1st wedding anniversary. I made him promise me then that we would go every year. Weeeeell it didn't quite work out that way. Medical and financial problems got in the way.
So now 6 years later after saving and rolling lots of change we get to go again. This will be my son's first (and hopefully not his last) trip to WDW. So I want to make it as Magical as humanly possible. I was toying with going at the end of Aug so as to not remove him from school, but I worry about the heat, I liked the idea of going back for Halloween when we where there, but ultimately I am pretty sure we want to go for his 6th Birthday (Nov 30th).
Since I would like for us to already be there on his Bday I thought of arriving on Thanksgiving but I don't know if that is wise or not.
My dream is to stay at the Poly but that will NEVER happen so right now I am deciding between Pop Century and Port Orleans-FQ. I also don't know if we want to buy 8 day tickets or annual pass. There are sooooo many options and so many decisions to make, that I am afraid to make any too soon. How do you all do it?

Sorry this was so long - Can you tell I am new to this????? :flower3:

Count me in for Dec 7-13 at AKL, we're going for our 10th anniversary and son's 5th birthday, haven't been since our honeymoon. Can't wait, don't plan on telling son until just before or as we're getting on the plane. We also convinced our friends and their 2 kids to go with us. Got 40% off on both room by calling the reservation line every few days.

We'll be there Dec 6th -10th. Our first time during the Christmas season. I'm so excited. We've only been during the hot months (End of May, June, Aug, and Sept). My DH is so happy to be going during nice weather.

Is it a little obsessive that I'm already trying to plan our itinerary? We're doing the DDP for the first time. I just love planning for vacation.

We are sooo excited to be going to December 7th - 13th!!!! Our son will be 7 when we go and this is his first trip to Disney. It will also be the first trip for my husband and I since the 80's!:) I can't wait to see all of the christmas decorations and to attend Mickey's Magical Christmas party! We are staying at the Wilderness Lodge. We hear that it is beautiful at Christmas time.

Obsessive - Nope not at all. We are planning a trip for Dec. 2008 that was originally going to be the week of Christmas. Before this last Christmas I had ADR's picked out for 4 kinds of trip b/d we weren't sure if we could go the week of Christmas and how many days we could go. I had an 8 day week of Christmas, a 10 day week of Christmas, an 8 day early December, and a 10 day early December. I'm sure it will change when the dates for MVMCP and CP come out.

We hope to do Disney in December SOMEDAY!!!! Dh cant take off from Nov 1-Dec 15 and I cant take off Dec 15- Jan 1:( It really stinks, I WANT TO SEE DISNEY AT CHRISTMAS TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Me tooooo!!!!!!! I really want to go to WDW during the holidays!
I work retail and anything before Christmas, in the holiday season, is out of the question. I might be able to go right after Christmas one of these years! We will be there at the end of July into August, so this coming December is probably not going to happen.
