Anyone Flown with Glopespan recently?

Hi All,

We fly out to the world of the mouse in August with Globespan and I was wondering if anyone has used them recently and can tell me what they thought of the flight and what the films were on the plane?

Ive never flown globespan but am also keen to know. We fly with them on 14 August. I hear they are quite good, although the guy I have booked my villa with says they only have 2 planes, and are unreliable. I took the gamble because they were a lot cheaper than all the other airlines.

amen to that. I keep on hearing mixed reports but I think you get that with most airlines

We fly with them next month - like everyone else you read all the bad reports and start to get a tad worried Going to keep an open mind though - after all it is a direct flight from Belfast and no hanging around in Gatwick between flights. Ok we may end up hanging around Belfast International if it is delayed like a number a FGS flights but that's not quite the same

We booked to fly with them in Feb this year and they cancelled our flight and offered us the chance to fly out few days later , we couldnt as DH could not change holiday dates so got refund !! Hope you have better luck hear this does not happen often & only at quiet times of year probably only out of Scotland too knowin my luck.

Unfortunately my flight is out of Glasgow, but fingers crossed

We flew with them out of Glasgow in September 2006 a year or so after they first started flying to Sanford. We had no delays and all in all it was okay. The flight wasn't busy and at one stage we had 11 seats between 3 adults, a toddler and a 11 month old. We normally go to Florida twice a year and fly BA in February so compared to BA not great, but then you have your own private screen, sky cot and free bar with BA.

We didn't pay for meals with Globespan however it appeared that everyone got a meal anyway, the only difference with those who paid is that they got a choice.

We have also flown with Continental from Edinburgh via Newark and Airtours to Sanford from Glasgow and would say that the Globespan flight was on a par with Airtours and better than the Continental via Newark. We had friends who went with GLobespan to Sanford last October and they only experienced an hour delay.

You get what you pay for and I wouldn't hesitate flying Globespan again if the prices were a lot cheaper than BA, however we looked at Globespan in February 2008 and BA was actually not much dearer and as we tend to go from 17 - 20 days, the flights suited us more.

Thanks for the info doaky, I've only ever flown with "budget" airlines before so the fact that you get free drinks/headphones/meals on the globespan flight and that I've paid for the upgraded seat I'm hoping the flight is ok. My main concern given reports elsewhere is delays and engine failure
I'm planning on bringing my own entertainment but I was curious of what the film choices where as they're meant to be a bit behind the times

We were in economy so had a shared overhead screen. My eldest was 3 1/2 at this time and he couldn't really see the screen that well, which I think was Shrek the Third for kiddies. I think this was only in the cinema in June / July the same year, so wasn't that old. He survived the flight with his personal DVD player and sleep.
