Anyone flown out yet on a Refurbed new Virgin 747

Hiya Guys

Not long to go for us now and having just checked Virgin's website our flights both in and out are now showing as 747's (when we initially booked out flights were showing as 330's).

Last October we were luck enough to travel on the new Airbus 330 and loved the new IFE

Question is, has anyone recently flown out of Manchester on a newly refurbed 747 or are Virgin refurbing all the London 747 first?

I sooo hope we are on a refurbed 747 this August

I think iv read a few times that 7 of the 747's are being refurbed this year. So far only one has been done (Barbarella) and it did fly to MCO from MAN earlier this week!

Don't know how quickly the rest will be done but there may be 2 by August time! Fingers crossed you get on one! We're hoping for one next Saturday but not holding our breath!

By August there should be 3 done - personally am hoping to get the old planes as I hate the look of the new config and the IFE doesn't bother me.

Schedule is one per month with one not being done as she is leaving the fleet soon.

I spoke to a Virgin Stewardess a few weeks ago and she said that they're all going to done by christmas.
