Anyone Flow With Continental

I've flown with them to NY. I liked them the service was good as was the food. The staff were very friendly & helpful too.

I would certainly use them again.

I've done it a few years ago when they first started from EDI.
No complaints, pretty much what you'd expect from a regular airline. Food, service OK, nothing to get excited about, nothing to complain about either.

Much easier on the way back than going via London in my opinion.

I think they used the 757 which can be awkward if there is 4 off you, other than that pretty much standard fare.

I've flown Continental from Edinburgh 3 years ago. By far the cheapest option then.
Comfortable flight, nice service, no seat back TV's, can't remember about food though.:confused3
Newark was easy enough and very quick at MCO.
Was planning to fly with them again next year but hung around too long, price went up, so now I get to try VA from Manchester!:cool1:

We have flown continental before - Manchester to Newark.
Excellent flight. Good food, seat back tv's etc... and fantastic views of Manhatten!
Wouldn't hesitate to fly with them again.

Ouch, I feel your pain in more ways than one.
Done the drive back from Man once, never again for myself and other road users.

Flying with Continental from Edinburgh via Newark. Anyone tell me what I can expect. Thanks

We ALWAYS fly Continental from Bristol to Orlando (via Newark).

Always very good. Good service, good legroom etc. Won't even consider using a British charter airline..

Also, the stop in Newark is not that great a hassle. You get to sort out immigration etc there rather than in Orlando....

We always fly Continental from Ireland to Orlando via Newark. They are a great airline with good service :)

Thank goodness that's not the plan!! What I meant was it was cheaper to fly VA from Edinburgh via Manchester than with Continental via Newark when I booked.
I'm too jet lagged to even drive the few miles home. I'll beg a lift or splash out on a taxi! :)

This was our experience flying from Belfast last year :

On the way there you will clear customs & immigration in Newark where you will need to identify and take your bags through customs but there is a drop area immediately after customs where you leave your bags for connecting flights.

Sounds like a pain - but means if you are using Disney Magical Express thats the last you see of your bags until you get into your hotel room.

Going through Newark actually splits the journey up quite nicely and arriving at your local airport straight from New York seems much more pleasant.

We have flown with them from Birmingham to Newark and then onto Orlando, and are doing the same at Christmas, I am looking forward to it actually, I was very impressed with the service the last time and also it helps that we are flying on Xmas day so there isn't anyone sitting by us on the trans atlantic part of the flight!

I also thought the food was better than your average inflight meal, I chose the veggie option and it was yummy!
