I had a dream that my cruise had famous people with their families on my cruise...when I thought about it later, I Wondered if any one really has seen someone famous on a Disney cruise? :bounce:

Thought it might make for an interesting thread.

You are right... we are interested... so GIVE IT UP!!! What stars did you see... and no... you can't say the "ones in the sky!" :earseek:

Yes celebrities do cruise on Disney, there was a "celebrity" on our cruise, some sitcom actress I had never heard of. And of course the cast of All About Jim filmed an episode on board.
And last week on E-Bay I searched under Disney Cruise and someone was selling a DVD of their home video of the Carter Brothers on board the Magic.
And former President Bush, his family cruised Disney.

whitney. bobby and their entourage cruised the trip right before us several years back. we did'nt miss much from what the castmembers divulged: just a horrendously messy suite, other cruisers being treated incredibly rudely and castmembers having handfuls of ice thrown at them (NOT in a playful manner).

i think it can be a major inconvenience depending on the celeb or the situation. years ago when baywatch was on, a coworker went on a cruise unaware (no one sailing was notified ahead of time) that baywatch was filming on board that week. several public areas were off limits to cruisers during peak times, some eating areas were closed to cruisers entirely (cast did not wish to be disturbed). many passengers complained to the cruiseline that had they been prenotified they would have opted for a different sailing date, only thing they received was a letter acknowledging that there had been "reported inconvenience to passengers" and offerd 10% off a future booking :confused3

give me a celebrity with class and their head on straight. at the hotel i worked at many moons ago two of the nicest, most considerate, no demands-down to earth and appreciative guests: james garner, donald o'conner. the worst: lily tomlin.

Our first cruise was in July of 2002. Joe Namath was on board, did an excellent "talk" and spent lots of time chatting afterwards with anyone who wanted to speak with him. Also on board was John Lassiter, ex. producer at Pixar, he did a presentation in the Disney Theatre, later he signed books at the shop and on CC was nice enough to talk to my 17 year old son, who was
looking for advice on getting into NYU film school (He will be a junior year in Sept). He couldn't have been nicer.

We have cruised with Whitney and Bobby Brown (never saw them, was just told by CM- we were right down the hall from them) and the last cruise we took, I don't know her name but she had cameos on Gilligans Island, Eight is Enough, Chips, Love Boat, & quite a few 70's shows. She was with her neice and nephew and sister. They were at quite a few of the smaller game shows and seemed to be having a good time. SHe also looked EXACTLY like she did in the day, even her clothing!

On the May REPO cruise we had quite a few celebrities including: Joey Fatone (from NSYNC) and his family, Bob Saget, Boys II Men, the Muppets, Don "Ducky" Williams, The Disneyland Detective author, Kendra Trahan, Disney Imagineer and author, Jason Surrell, the former Public Affairs Director of the Panama Canal, Willie Friar, Tom Wolber, the Senior Vice President of Operations for DCL, and Tom McAplin, the President of DCL. We also had Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Donald, Daisy, Belle, The Beast, Stitch, Chip & Dale, Max, most of the princesses, and I'm sure I'm missing some others.

We did a father's day cruise and Joe Nameth was on it. He had a discussion with the guests and signed items.

At Castaway Cay, my husband and Joe were next to each other in the massage huts. My husband had a very pleasant discussion with him. That was his Father's Day gift. ;)

We had about 10 wrestlers from the WWE on our ship...NO CLUE what any of that means, my father and sister knew them all and they were pretty nice to them..they were there with their families, but so many people were talking to them and they were very polite...

We had Richard Shermann on the July 23rd Magic cruise - he was fantastic!
Wendy

We had a basketball star from the NBA our cruise (they were from Atlanta) the men and boys onboard were all excited but I can't remember his name.....they sat at the next table to us in the dining room and my DD and his DD were hanging around together with other teens on board....the family was very nice had no airs about them.

MJ

Do any of the "live actors' from the Disney Channel ever go on board (ie Wiggles)

We also cruised with Donald "Ducky" Williams in August 2004. He sat at the table next to us during most nights at dinner. I think Ducky spent most of his meal time drawing pictures and giving them to children around him. A couple chidren that were at our table were lucky enough to receive some drawings from Ducky. Ducky would ask what Disney character they would like, and he would draw that character for them. The children's faces were all a glow when Ducky handed them their drawing.

So, if you are ever lucky enough to be on a cruise with Ducky Williams, make sure you sit in on his presentation, you might even win one of his drawings!!!

On our cruise this past April we had Rena Sofer who used to be on General Hospital and was on Blind Justice. Only saw her the last day in the elevator but she was absolutely gorgeous!

One of the child actors from a Disney Channel series was onboard with us and on another cruise we saw Kevin Nash (wrestler).

On the Eastern, DCL frequently has someone with Disney connections doing a series of talks. The rest of the time, they are regular cruise guests. We've cruised with "Gaston" from the original Broadway cast, a VP of Imagineering, and one of the Disney artists. Each was very interesting. We played one of the Studio Sea games with the gentleman who played Gaston and his daughter (myself and my daughter made the required foursome). It was a total blast. One of the cruise staff told me later that the gentleman had told him that the game with us had been the highlight of the cruise.

Michael McDonald (formerly Doobie Bros. and now on his own) and his family were on the Magic when we were on a few years ago. Great family - nice guy !!

I heard people say that the crusie line president was on our ship or something but I never saw him.
