We are headed down in December and we usually do the sleigh ride at Ft. Wilderness to kick off our trip. This year my parents are going with us and we would have to schedule 2 sleighs to accommodate everyone. Because of the expense we decided to skip the sleigh this year, and aren't planning on renting a golf cart for the same reason.

However, I saw that there are also wagon rides through the Fort that are much less expensive, and of course would accommodate our entire group at once. My question is - has anyone done the wagon ride at the Fort during the holidays? Do you see a lot of the Christmas decorations that the Fort is known for at Christmas like you would see on the sleigh ride? Do they add any extra touches to the wagon like they do the carriages to make them sleighs - bows, garland, Christmas music?

My parents haven't been to Disney in 30 years and so I really want them to experience all the magic of Disney/Christmas and the Fort, especially since we are staying at the cabins!

Any insight would be appreciated! I also posted on camping board and so far haven't heard back. Thanks!!

We have done both. We liked the wagon ride better because the sleigh ride was at night and we couldn't see anything. The wagon ride took you around Ft. Wilderness and we saw so many people with decorations.
