Hi. I wondered if anyone has ever booked through mytravelco.com . We are planning a cruise for June 2003, and I have received my quote from Dreams Unlimited, and it's a good quote, but I wondered about the other, since their price was a little cheaper. We used Costco last time, and it was GREAT and I WISH they still did Disney cruises, but I heard they no longer do them. I'm calling them on Monday to make sure, and if they are not anymore, we'll go with either Dreams or Travelco. I'm leaning toward Dreams, but wanted to get someones opinion who has used the Travelco, so I can make a fair comparison.

I booked our Disney cruise with them a couple of months ago. They gave me the best price, and I am a hard shopper. I also like the fact that they are open 24 hours a day.

Also, Costco still prices Disney cruises. When I called them for pricing, they were one hundred dollars less than mytravelco. (FYI w/ Costco - you must pay in full at time of booking, and you get someone new every time you call.)

Mytravelco will beat any price you get. Good luck!

We have used them for our past 7 cruises, they are also known as cruises only. We have booked just for our family and also group bookings. They have taken care of us great every time. You would have to call to get disney prices since disney will not give online quotes on this site. But their prices for cruises are great and lots less than we have found elsewhere. Last trip we tried to book locally so the local agents could have the sales but they would not touch the price we had gotten from mytravelco, this was a local agency that promoted their great cruise prices. You will not be sorry if you book with them. We have always used the same agent, if you are interested you can e-mail me and I can give you her name.

Since when does Costco require you to pay in full when you book? Is that new? We used them last time, and loved them. All we did with Costco was the normal $200 deposit per person... Everything else was the same as all other agencies, pay in full by 60 days before you sail. Hmm, I still will call and check with them, but they're not open until Monday. Oh, do you get a cabin assignment? Or do you have to wait until you get your cruise doc's to find out what cabin you have.... (with mytravelco.com) I need a cabin assignment to make sure I'll be happy. With Dreams, they already told me the cabin I'd have, and it's only next door to the one we had last time, which is great.

We have used Mytravelco for all 3 of our cruises. I've always called several companies for quotes and then called Mytravelco last. I tell them what my best quote was and they will beat it. Also, their travel insurance is less than DCL. As a matter of fact, I called DCL this time and booked my cruise and told the CM that I would be transfering the ressie over to Mytravelco. The CM told me that they are the biggest and best company DCL deals with. She said my ressie would be in good hands with them and they really know what they're doing there. My travelco will ask you if you want a specific cabin or guaranteed room. I think the company is great and would not hesitate to book with them again.

We booked our May 4, 2002 with them and have had no problems. They beat anyones price! We will use them again next year.

Wonderwoman-
When I got my quote from Costco, they told me I would need to pay the amount in full. Maybe this was because it was closer to the sixty day mark. I don't know.

I think you would be happy with Mytravelco (cruises only). They will meet or beat a Costco quote also.

Ok, I wanted to tell everyone, I called Costco this morning and they ARE booking Disney cruises still, AND the price they gave me was the BEST. It was over $300 cheaper than ANY other quote I've gotten. I will be booking through them for sure this time, since we used them before and were very pleased. I just know there has been speculation here and there about whether or not they do Disney cruises anymore, and they DO. I'm so glad. And their travel insurance is SO much cheaper... Only going to cost us $158 for myself, my hubby, and my daughter. :)

and I called mytravelco.com after getting a quote from Costco. The agents response to me, after going to his supervisor, was "my manager told me to tell you to have a great cruise." Apparently, the only way they could meet or beat my Costco rate was to end up owing Disney money. Costco was $350 cheaper for the same cruise.

I don't really need any agent assistance when I make my arrangements, and I usually get my travel insurance from a separate company and get my airfare and transfers myself, so I just book cruise only with them.

But the agent I spoke with at mytravelco.com was courteous and helpful. I think that I would definitely call them again to check prices in the future.
