Anyone ever used Gardengrocer.com?

My husband and I are taking advantage of the free dining plan offer this year...YAY. We are bringing our two daughters (ages 3 and 6). We were talking about going to the supermarket before we get to the resort but we're not renting a car, and since Disney has the Magical Express, we really don't want to take on the added expense of a limo/town car if we don't have to.
My hubby got me a copy of the 2008 Passporter and I was reading it one day last week and found the Gardengrocer.com. I was looking at the website and the prices seem pretty comparable to what I would pay in the supermarkets here in NY, plus the $12 delivery fee they state. And it seems almost worth it to me to do that because I'm sure it would cost more than the $12 for the town car and I don't actually have to go in the supermarket.

Has anyone ever used them before? Is it a good service? How does this work?

TIA!

We LOVE Garden Grocer. We have used them our last two trips, and will probably never go without them again. Super easy to do, you just order all your groceries off their website, choose a delivery date and time frame (I think usually a 2 to 3 hour window) and you are set! Last time our groceries and stuff arrived early, before we even stepped foot off the plane, and it was kept refrigerated by bell services. So don't worry if you won't be in your room at the time of delivery. We are big water drinkers, and it is definitely cheaper to buy cases of water from them than pay the $2.50 a bottle or more that they charge in the parks. Also, we still need diapers, and I love that I don't have to pack a suitcase just for those, just enough to get us down to FL until our supplies arrive. Oh, you can order up to 2 weeks out, and I would recommend doing it as soon as you can. Sometimes if you wait too long all the delivery times are taken and you may have to wait until the next day or two, which is obviously not ideal.

Thank you so much, PrincessTigerlily! I really appreciate it. My dh and I are huge water drinkers also (I add in my Crystal light to go pkts..LOL). Plus I would like to have some breakfast foods/snacks in the room for us so we don't have to keep running back to the food court and dropping a ton of money unnecessarily. Also my youngest is in pull ups (I'm really hoping to have her potty trained by then so I don't have to drag pullups down with me. I would get a pack for us just in case she's not fully trained by then.

I really appreciate your feedback. I'm going to be booking our airfare within the next month and once that's done, I can get everything else done!

That answers my question as well. I was checking that out yesterday & trying to decide if it was worth it. Thanks.:thumbsup2

Just wanted to add that if you drink wine/beer, they can deliver that also:thumbsup2 . You can email them for the specific kind and pirce and then add it to your order in the comments section.
This was great because weordered a case of beer and could ave a beer or 2 arounf the ppol and not spend $5 each beer. In 2006 Coors light cans was @$23-so less than $1 each.
Just wanted to let you know.;)

Another note: if you do not see the exact item you wish, you can add in the comments section what it is you are looking for and they will do their best to locate that and have it for you. We also get our cereal, milk, fruit, and snack bars from them like the OP mentioned - so much easier and more cost effective! Have a wonderful trip!!

I'm thinking of using garden grocer as well. We are bringing our son for the first time (he will almost be 2 when we go) and I was thinking of using graden grocer to order diapers, some snacks, water & soda.

We are staying at BWV and there will be a fridge for the water & soda and with airlines charging so much for extra or overweight baggage I figured it would be easier to order diapers and such instead of lugging them in my luggage.

I was on the DVC boards and many people there use grocery services and garden grocer was highly recommended. I checked out the website and though I could get some items cheaper at home (especially when they are on sale), the prices are definately much better then if you had to buy it at Disney.

If you want you can post this question on the DVC planning board - I'm sure there will will get alot of good advice on ordering groceries for your stay.
