Anyone ever used Fairy Godmothers (babysitting service)...

Hello...sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question. But I was wondering if anyone has ever used the Fairy Godmother service to watch the kids while you went out to dinner etc. How was your experience and did the kids enjoy it? Would you recommend using them again? We have never left our kids with anyone (other than immediate family) even at home let alone in another state so not sure if we are comfortable doing this just figured I'd get see if anyone could give me some advice/info?

thanks for any help you could give me. It would be nice to have some *alone time* with dh for once!

Danielle, I posted a thread in disABILITIES re: Fairy Godmother. I got a fair amount of good responses. I used their service twice last week when we were there for our autistic son. A older lady by the name Vivian came both times. She brought toys with her and played with DS for 4 hours or so (that is their minimum number of hours) while we had dinners and he was quite happy at the end of the night. A number of families also had good experiences at the kids' clubs too. I would use them again next time for DS.

Hey - we had Vivian also! She was great.

We've used them twice, and were very happy both times. The only thing I remember is that the woman who runs the service can be a little bit cranky and crusty when you speak with her, but she seems to run a very good service.

I can really recommend them.
