Anyone ever used a "bed tent" for kids in a hotel?

I saw these bed tents for full size beds and it made me wonder if anyone has ever used one of these in a hotel to give their kids private sleeping quarters?

i had one of those when i was little..with cabbage patch kids on it!

i thought it was the coolest things ever...i'm sure your kids would like it! the only thing is that it doesn't get very dark...so maybe have a dark sheet or lightweight blanket to lay over the top. what a great idea!

Is the tent detachable from the bottom sheet, or do you have to strip the blankets off the bed and put the thing on? Would housekeeping let it be, or would they have to take it off and make the bed up regular-style?

I actually don't have any kids, I just saw these and thought they looked like fun. I mean, not for me, an adult, but for kids
