Anyone ever tried the Quality Inn on Manchester?

I have a room booked there for part of our upcoming stay, because it was super cheap and close enough. Then it occurred to me that NO ONE on Disboards has ever mentioned this hotel, despite it's location and cheap rates. I know better than to expect luxury, but I am hoping someone could confirm they have...lived through it!

I've never stayed there, but someone on another board says that it is their go-to hotel for budget trips. I think the only complaint they have is that it isn't as close as they'd like. But the price makes up for that.

I have stayed there many times. When I take the family we stay at the GCH but when I go by myself I go cheap and stay there. It is safe, clean and comfortable. It is a short 10 min. walk to the main gate. They lost half of their rooms and parking. They shared ownership with the North half of their lot and that part was bought out by the new hotel that was just opened so there are fewer rooms now. If you join their online Choice Privileges membership ( its free ) so can book online with a discount but no cancellations. One time they gave me a corner room closest to the freeway. I complained that it was too noisy and they transferred me to a quiet room in the interior of the building. They also have a free continental breakfast. I would recommend staying there. It is the cheapest within walking distance. Friendly, courteous staff and free WiFi. Parking was an extra $10/night.

There is another cheap hotel that I plan to try out someday. The Anaheim Maingate at 1211 West Pl. It would be a short walk thru the Cast Members parking lot , up the first stairs to the Mickey and Friends Parking structure, and then walking thru M&F to take the tram. Not a good plan for families.

Awesome! I looked through the reviews on Trip Advisor and they were ok. Last time we were at DL, they were doing what I guessed to be renovations but was likely demolition as the other buildings were removed.

Thanks for the review Jerryp49! We are planning on staying there in November. We usually stay at the Carousel and I figured it would be an additional 10 minutes of walking. We have enough Choice Privileges points we should get most of the stay for free!

Just be sure you are reserving the exact room and bed type that you require. I reserved a "rack" room for a great, last minute deal. Unfortunately, we were assigned a tiny room with one double bed and absolutely no other furniture in the room...it was THAT small. They were unwilling to move us, even if I paid for an upgrade (rooms were available). Not the most pleasant experience I've had with a Disneyland area hotel. I won't go back.

Wow, really? Well, at least it is just the 2 of us. We booked it to stay for a few adult days after the family leaves. Since then, I have heard about SO MANY other Anaheim hotels on Disboards! Haha, I already booked 4 and canceled 3 reservations for early December, these Anaheim hotel guys have to be used to that, right?

We haven't stayed there personally, but a friend of mine has stayed there with her family and likes it.
