Was it a pain to get on and off the buses? Did you love having it? Were you worried about someone stealing it? Give me all the pros and cons please!

I would not go with out mine...but it is a pain on the buses, so we drive to the parks. For saftey we make sure with a CM that it is parked in a place that they are not going to need to remove it and then remove a back wheel.

Sounds like removing a wheel would be a pain to do each and every time. Ok, maybe I won't take that with us. Well I don't even have it yet, but I plan to get one.

We decided not to take our Bugaboo Frog. It would have been an absolute pain on the bus and would have taken up quite a bit of space in our hotel room. As much as I adore our Bugaboo (we've put tons of miles on it over the past 4 years) it just isn't great for travel. There was no way I was going to deal with the two part fold on the airplane or the buses.

We decided on two umbrella strollers. Our Maclaren Quest was a dream at Disney. The parks have very smooth roads/walkways, so it isn't like you need the big air tires of your Bugaboo.

I only saw one Bugaboo in the parks while we were there, but it was the Bugaboo Bee which folds all in one piece.

Thanks. I think we will stick with our Mac Quest then.

I think this is a good decision. The first time we boarded a bus I thanked my lucky stars that I hadn't brought the Bugaboo, let alone our big double stroller. We visited during the slow season but still found it tough to get the strollers, bags and kids on the bus (and we had two sets of grandparents to help :guilty:). The umbrella strollers folded in a snap and took up minimal space on the bus. The only negative is the small canopy -- our solution was to buy a Rayshade.

Have a great trip.

If you haven't bought a stroller...may I make a suggestion? I did a ton of research before buying a stroller. We went to Disney in May ( I am pregnant now) and talked to many people about their strollers. I am not shy so if I saw one I liked or one that seemed to be popular then I started asking questions. :rotfl: The stroller at Disney, and here at home, that got the best reviews was the Peg Perego Pliko P3. It is a full size stroller that folds up like an umbrella stroller and only weighs 16 pounds. You only need one hand to fold or unfold this thing. I love it and we haven't even gotten to use it yet!! But I have pulled it out to show people.

so, did anyone else find success in taking a bugaboo chameleon to the parks?

i am also concerned about getting it on and off the bus. but i don't want to drive either. i like the ease of riding the buses.

i don't worry about someone stealing it because i would also remove a wheel which is no trouble at all.

i'd love to stay in a monrail resort so it could be easily loaded and unloaded from the monrail but we can only afford a mod resort.

Taken ours several times over the last 3 years, it's wonderful. We do not ride the buses but I can't think it's anymore troublesome than packing it in the car. The sun coverage is awesome (we also use the parasol, works well for crowd control in the hands of a toddler ;)). We've seen several every trip and most are sitting unlocked in Fantasyland.

I've taken our Quest various times too but it's just not as nice, the sun shade isn't as good I have a Ray Shade and my kids would just yank on it so I'd only take it at night, the basket is a pain and it's tippy when loaded with a baby bag or anything. As the PP noted the Pliko/P3 is probably the best all round WDW stroller. We've taken ours more times than I can count.

You can get a bike lock to run thru the wheels if your concerned with it rolling away, just don't lock it to anything. I've done that several times and no trouble. I also use our Cam or Orbit as a high chair in resturants and was never denied. (once my kids would get out in when dining there was NO-WAY they were getting in a high chair they wanted to run mad:yay:).
