I am staying at a property owned by a "Lori and Todd" and it is a 3 bed/3 bath townhome with a splash pool:banana: They use Global Management and I am wondering if anyone has ever stayed here before. I was wondering what we need to bring and how the place is. Thanks for any info.

I believe that this may be the townhouse we stayed at in January. The address was 7669 Otterspool and it was managed by Global. We found it through the windsorhillsrent website. We loved it and really enjoyed our stay.

If this is the same home, let me know and I can answer questions that you may have.

Yes...thank you so much skmommy!!!! I pretty much figured I was looking for a needle in a haystack here. That is the property. I am just wondering what you found you really needed to bring..we are a family of 5 staying for 8 days..this is my first time at Windsor Hills and we are extremely excited:banana: I also have been reading that you need to pay to use the pool and facilities??? Is this true? Any info you can provide would be awesome..Thanks again:flower3:

You do not "pay" to use the pool or ANY of the facilities, all are 100% free if you're staying in the resort! You do put down a $6 refundable deposit to get a key card for access to the pool / clubhose, which is fully refundable when you return the card at the end of your stay. Even the movies which you "rent" to watch in the movie theater are completely free.

Great place, have fun! :)

Glad to help- we really liked the townhouse and Lori was great to work with. We also had no problems with Global, they were very responsive to the few things we found on arrival that needed to be fixed and sent someone over within a few hours (the handrail on the stairs was loose at the top and one of the drawer fronts in a bathroom had a screw missing-- no big deal and they fixed them the first day-- we really just let them know so that we wouldn't be held responsible for "damages").

As far as things to bring, we drove down so we packed a lot of stuff (mostly due to my obsessive planning, not due to need). Really the only "weird" thing we brought was Windex to use on the glass-top dining table. Lori had let me know that it was something she always brought to help clean that table after meals and I really agree it worked great. We needed the usual paper towels, trash bags (kitchen size), toilet paper, toiletries, napkins, dishwashing soap (regular and dishwasher), and laundry soap. The washer and dryer are stackable and are in a hall closet upstairs and there were 2 small laundry baskets in the unit which were very useful.

We had just 4 of us this trip and the kids stayed in the upstairs room with 2 twin beds and we stayed across the hall in the master (very comfy king bed). We didn't use the downstairs queen bedroom except for storing all the extra stuff we brought. It was great for that as it is just inside the front door. That room was a bit small, but seemed very functional. There were plenty of towels and linens in the unit and I believe they had a good selection of cookware and dishes. The bowls were very large so I might bring smaller ones for the kids if we stayed there again. They weren't bad, but they were more what I would call a pasta bowl than a cereal bowl that would work for 4 and 6 year olds if that makes sense.

We really enjoyed the place and used the splash pool some (it was mid-January). It was our first time trying a vacation rental and I arranged it the weekend before we left (like 5 days ahead of our trip) after reading so much here on the DIS about Windsor Hills. I just couldn't justify the cost of the reservations that I had made at the Wilderness Lodge. I don't think I will ever stay in a hotel room with the kids for more than 1 or 2 nights again if I have any choice.

Let me know if there are other questions I can try to answer and feel free to PM me if that is easier. I really think you will love the townhouse-- have a great trip.

Whew!!! What a mouthfull..lol. Thanks for all the helpful information. Basically everthing I would want to know...we also are driving, except we are driving up instead of down..we live in South Florida. I will be bringing stuff with me and I plan to make a trip to Walmart for other things needed. If I think of anything else I will ask you..once again a big Thanks!!:flower3:
