I just signed up tonight. I listed one book. Hopefully this will be a way to earn some Disney $$!

:thumbsup2 Yep, I've sold several text books with them. It was a good experience, although I had one book that was particularly heavy and it cost me a lot to send so I didn't make too much $$. Overall, it was good and made money from book I no longer needed. I also like purchasing used text books from Amazon too. Good luck with earning Disney bucks!! :goodvibes

I only have 1 text book to sell, and I can't sell it until my daughter is done with Art. I'm just listing books around the house that are in good condition. I really hope this will be a good experience!!

I've bought and sold several used books through Amazon and everything has gone very smoothly. I can't believe the deals I get, and the profit I make when I sell. :thumbsup2

Make sure if you sell books that you send them USPS Media Mail, otherwise the shipping will severely cut into your profit.

In reference to the OP's I've sold many different items on Amazon. It's very straight forward and stuff usually sells really quickly. In grad school, I hardly paid anything for my books because I'd buy used books from Amazon at the beginning of the semester and then sell them again at the end of the semester for about what I originally paid.

Yes, selling books through Amazon is easy.

It's odd how many people are selling books for $.01 though. Are they just trying to get some volume for good ratings?

I was wondering that myself!

Thanks for the tips guys....I have a ton of books to get rid of and I take good care of them. I'm a huge reader. I have 4 listed now.

Basically they're making a buck or two a book because the shipping allowance is more than you need to send a paperback book via media mail.

I used to work for a company that owned a coffee-table-book publishing firm, and they let the employees buy these big beautiful books at a major discount price once a year. I listed a bunch of these books (and others) on Amazon a couple of years ago -- sold two in the first two days, and two more over the the last two years. I wouldn't say it's been a big success for me, but it's been nice to sell a couple. Just don't expect too much -- your sales can come in very irregularly and slowly. You're competing with other people selling the same books.
