Anyone ever purchase airfare from Best Fares?

This site is somewhat confusing to me. I don't understand all the stuff about member & non-member. I clicked on an airfare deal under "Snooze You Lose" and it gives an 800 number to call to purchase. I don't like that you can't put your actual dates in to see if the fare is available when you want to go. Anyone had any real successes using this site?

Thanks!

Liz, the non-member flights are available to anyone and if I recall correctly it you click on the fare that you are interested in then call the number, they check your flight availability. I did this once and there was no hard sell or anything like that involved. Course my dates were not available. The membership is $59.95 a year.

I often use Bestfares to see who is offering a good rate, then I go to the airline website to see what I can get. Be sure to check out the News Desk for up to date deals.

I also use a downloadable helper called Sidestep, which offers a comparison shopping pop-up window for hotels, airfare and car rentals.
