I have a raised mole on my chest/stomach that really annoys me and I'd love to get rid of. I read online that there are some creams and things you can buy that will naturally get ride of them. Has anyone ever tried this and did it work? Can you buy this in a drugstore or do you need to order online?

Thanks!

the doctor can remove them in the office...no big deal...they numb the area and cut it off. I had several removed one day.

:confused3 Have you thought of seeing a dermatologist?

I did see the dermatologist because I was concerned it was dangerous that it appeared, grew and then became raised over the course of a few years, but the doc looked and assured me it was safe and not to worry and happens often to women my age. He never offered me the option to remove it and I never even thought of it at the time. That was a few years ago and it hasn't changed at all since then, but I'd like to remove it and as cheaply and most pain free method available!

Usually it is free, or just your co-pay to have it removed in the office.

I think my Dermo gets a kick out of hacking things off. :rolleyes:

Got a mole problem? Call Avogadro @ 602-1023 :lmao::rotfl2:

Sorry, a little chemist humor... :banana:

I think the only way to have them removed is at the derm's office. Good luck. :thumbsup2

I'd been wanting to use that one for a really long time. I just couldn't pass it up... :lmao: And don't you know, nerds rule the world? We come up with all the cool stuff. :thumbsup2

I think the only moles you can/should safely remove at home are skin tags. Other than that, they should be removed by a doctor.

True moles are not only on the skin's surface but they grow down into the skin and some can be very deep. So, even if you superficially remove what is raised, there will be more left in the skin.

My daughter just had two flat moles biopsied. One of them was completely removed with the shave biopsy, the other was not and it has come back.

Ds12 finally agreed to have a harmless but ugly raised mole removed from his stomach. It took the doctor about 30 seconds for the entire process - numbing, cutting, burning, bandaid.

OMG...even I understood that. I guess something from Chem class last year really did stick with me:eek:

Okay, does it mean I'm not a geek or does it simply mean I'm stupid that I didn't get the Avogadro's number thing until several people had responded to it? - And I only got it then because I've heard my son talk about mol day.

I have had 3 moles removed, they were done at the same time and it was very quick and easy. In and out in about an hour. The creams never worked for me and trust me, I'd been trying for years! For whatever reason I just decided it was time for the 2 raised ones to go, the 3rd one was on my arm, was flat and didn't bug me but I wanted to be sure it was nothing. :)

I plan to get one removed soon too and I think that a dermatologist is the way to go. One warning: some insurance companies won't pay for it and call it cosmetic. I still think it's wise to let a professional take care of it though.

does it look like this:confused3 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
