anyone ever had any luck...?

...with converting an existing, week-long Thanksgiving reservation from one resort to another? we have 7 days currently booked at BWV beginning 11/22 and would love to get into VWL. day-by-day waitlist is out of the question. we'd prefer not to change resorts mid-week.

just wondering if anyone's had luck with something like this before...

You should have tried to do this at exactly 7 months out. It's not going to happen now unless you wait list. That's the only way.

to clarify...i did, in fact, get on the wait list at exactly 7 months out - just for the entire week as a whole...not day-to-day...

We made our Thanksgiving week reservation at VWL at 11 months. We modified it to use more points at exactly 7 months out. We had Wed-Sat at 11 months and did not change that.

If you are waitlisted and haven't heard anything yet, I don't really hold much hope for you. It's the smallest resrort and the super renters (point morphers) sucked up lots of those reservations early in the game.

Just stay on the waitlist until 30 days out, then get on the wait list for up to 7 days out. That's all you can do.

Well, Don't give up all hope. There is always that chance that your waitlist will come through. You are still 2 1/2 months out. I have read many posts were people's wait lists have come through in the last few weeks.

We're waiting for 11/23 at BCV in a 2 bedroom...everyone tells me not to give up hope...I hope that they are right!
