Has anyone ever got their waitlist in the 7 days before arrival? I am trying to decide if its even worth my time to call EVERY day now for a week. We leave next wednesday afternoon....we are waitlisted for Beach Club & Boardwalk. But I had to choose a specific view....I dont really care about the view....just wanna be on the Epcot resort side.....so what do you all think? Is it worth it to call?

When our waitlist expired I called everyday. Once in the morning and again in the afternoon and low and behold the day before we left we go what we wanted.

I tried to get DS and family into the BCV for a night (where I was )a few weekends ago. I called every day until 3 days out. DS said his family would be happy at Kidani, and they were.

So, I gave up. If you want to be at BCV or BWV for the location, I would keep calling.

At 7 days there is no waitlist, you have to keep calling. That's what I understand at least.

I have had an expired wait list filled at check-in. I was glad I asked when we checked in. How many days do you need? If it is only a day or 2 you have a much better chance. You are not on a wait list anymore so you don't need to worry about view. You just call and see what is available and there is no one ahead of you on the wait list--just first to call gets any available room.

Thanks guys....we REALLY do wanna stay on the Epcot resort line so I guess I will keep calling since there is a glimmer of hope. Unfortunately we are talking 5 nights not just a couple so my chances I think are slim but..... I am happy with SSR and I LOVE SSR however its just me and hubby and we are only planning Food & wine activities. I am hoping....

I too experienced getting my waitlist when I arrived. I was expected to stay at AKL- Jambo for first night. Then move to AKV for 3 nights and then to Wildnerness lodge for last night. Well upon check in they had a room at AKV. So AKL Checked me in and I just took the bus over to AKV. Not only did I stay in the same room, I was able to keep it for my last night. Didn't have to move at all. Only problem was keeping track of the KTTW cards. Because of different reservation numbers, they had to keep changing my cards.
