AA just lowered their prices. Seems like I've heard of people getting a credit or refund. Anyone do this. Do I need to push for it or is it common place? I could save $100.

Thanks

When SWA dropped their fares, I logged onto the service center and rebought the tickets at the lower fare. They gave me a credit to use within the year. Check on line or call them to get an answer, it is worth a shot!

Just the other day ($80) on SWA.

We got credit vouchers from Delta before they changed their policy. Problem is that DD is not going with us in Nov, so we weren't able to use her voucher....like a 7 year old has a credit card to buy tickets.

I've done it w/ Southwest as well. Got a $60 credit. I did just notice today that I could save another $30-- but it was kind of a pain, and I'd rather not-- if it were a lot more then I would.

We got credit vouchers for USAirways. Good for a year--if they're still in business.

Last year DH's flight dropped $156.00.

I called AA and since there was space available on the exact same flight, they reissued ticket and sent me a voucher for his next flight.

Not a problem.

Good luck.

The price of my tickets went down by $15 each total of $45. I purchased them thru Delta we are flying Song. Should I try to get a credit? Do I have to call them & is there a charge. I would never have thought to do this, but it seems like everyone is always getting a voucher. Thanks for your help.

I'd say its worth a shot. About 2 months after I booked my Jet Blue flgiht the price went down and they gave me credit for another flight within the next year. Like they say, a penny saved is a penny earned :D

Our Delta Flights for our September trip just dropped $26 each, but I was not able to get a credit because they now apply the $100 service fee to the credit.

So unless your fare changes by more than $100, getting a credit on Delta is not an option.

Northwest will, if pressed, usually give vouchers. But it's getting tougher and tougher. Only industry I can think of where they can raise and lower the price hundreds of dollars for the same item and not have to refund the difference within a certain time limit!

It's insane.

I have four vouchers, for USAirways...$50 each...I'm hoping I can get to use them! :(

I got $5 credits from Song last month. They applied a $25 per person charge for making the change, and gave me the difference, one in each person's name. Now I have a 12 year old with little chance of flying within the next year holding a $5 credit. If I had known the flights were going to decrease in price again, I would have waited and gotten a bigger credit. Now it's not worth calling again, the $25 charge would more than eat up the credit. Live and learn, at least I was happy with my original prices so the rest is all gravy.

With all the restrusturing USAir has done, my return flights were rebooked completely. I was not notified of this (look at my counter!) and probably would not have caught it for another few weeks when I reconfirmed, except for this thread. Turns out, there was a $68 decrease in fare, which I called and was able to receive in the form of a travel voucher. It helps to be a member of the FF program, as well. :D

We had a 3- $15 each credit from song from our flights in Dec 2003. We just purchased tix online from song for our trip in April and we able to use them towards the purchase of our tixs. They have a spot when you check out that you can put up to three vouchers per person. I am checking everyday if the fare goes down again, b/c the person at Song said ANY NUMBER OF VOUCHERS can be used towards your next purchase. Our tix are pretty high, so we are hoping the price drops by April so we can take another trip in Dec 2004 with the vouchers.

We got our airfare reduced by USAir last May for a trip to DelRay Beach. If you see the rate go down, call them, it can't hurt! Good Luck!

Got a $345 credit through Alask Airlines last week! We're going to use it to take the kids to California in the spring!
