Anyone Ever Fly JetBlue from Orlando to Reagan National?

Last week we purchased a one way ticket using AirTran from Reagan National to Orlando for a great rate but the return will still high until this morning. I found a flight departing 12/3/10 @ 6:30 p.m. with JetBlue for $69 (including taxes). (I wish I had gotten this low of a rate flying down but we are arriving on 11/28/10 and the lowest I found was $104/person). We didn't do a round trip ticket because I had to pay for our flights using two different paychecks.

My question: has anyone ever flown JetBlue from Orlando and if so, what was your experience? I don't want to fly an airline that gives awful service, has delays even if I save money. Thanks!

I know someone who has flown that route on JetBlue with good results for service and ontime flight. Is your return flight number 1710 at 6:50pm ?

Not to Reagan, but since JetBlue started flying out of Boston (2005?) with one exception, I've exclusively used that airline. GREAT airline. You won't be disappointed. Rarely do they change schedules or cancel flights. First checked bag is free. Seatback televisions/radios. Free snacks/sodas.

Amy delays have been weather-related, and admittedly they are somewhat infamous for keeping passengers on a plane on the runway for quite a few hours several years ago. So have other, larger airlines.

Two years ago, due to EXTREMELY strong easterly headwinds, JetBlue was having all its westbound cross country flights stop in Denver to refuel - choice between that and crashing, I'll take the delay ;). They voluntarily gave each passenger a $25, I think, voucher for the inconvenience.

Domestically, I won't go anywhere JetBlue doesn't fly.

JetBlue is one of the best airlines in terms of customer service and customer amenities. They are a single class carrier, but do offer extra leg room seats for additional cost. They have TVs in the seats and satellite radio. One free checked bag per passenger, typical carryon restrictions and free drinks/snacks and you can pre-select your seat free of charge (exception back to extra leg room seats).

Unfortunately with a direct flight from DCA you will not get to travel to their beautiful T5 terminal in JFK.

Wow - thanks, everyone!! I was hesitating to hit the purchase button (on the JetBlue website right now), but you have all convinced me I am making a great decision. I was a little disappointed at purchasing our tickets last week through AirTran esp having to depart at 6:30 a.m. but it was the cheapest at the time of all airlines. Our trip is from 11/28-12/3/10 and we are finally getting everything finalized - now I can get the flight info to ME for our luggage tags. I think we will just do carry-on both ways to avoid waiting for our luggage when we arrive and also waiting for baggage claim when we return.

I will let everyone know how our flight w/JetBlue turns out!!

If you're asking specifically about MCO-DCA, JetBlue just started serving the route on Monday, so relatively few people have flown it yet. But I can't see why it would be different than any other JetBlue flight.

If by aweful service you mean being bullied and humiliated and having your kids abused, stay off USAir, especially out of DCA.

I agree with the pp, you should be able to expect the same service from Jet Blue out of a new aitport that you would get anywhere else.

We LOVE JetBlue. We haven't taken it out of DCA yet, but we always take it out of Dulles and have always been super happy with them.
