Anyone ever find Playmobil at a discount?

Just did a search for Playmobil at several different sites and also at Retailmenot to see if there are any general discount codes for some of the toy stores that sell Playmobil but didn't find anything that worked. I want to get a few sets for my DGS for Christmas and don't recall if there were any sales last year ( he was too young then to have the sets). Anyone find any deals? Any danger of something selling out?---Kathy

I'm sorry I don't have any codes for you, but I did see some sets in the clearance toys at Kmart. I think they were all pirate types. HTH

The Playmobil site itself has a clearance section. I ordered my DS a huge Roman set for 25% off the list price plus free shipping and it came with a Playmobil game that I'll use as a stocking stuffer. You might check it out.

Toys R Us almost always has a couple sets on sale each week, and then they also will have a couple sales a year in which they all go B2G1 or B1G1 half off.

Have also seen random sets every once in a while at TJ Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods.

Tuesday Morning usually has some at a discounted price.

Hello -we live in State College, PA. We have a local store that sells playmobil at a discount. The owner is wonderful. He would maybe ship your selections to Orlando. Here is the phone number. He is open on Saturdays from 10 - 4pm. 814-237-7899. The store is called Forsters Train shop. Good luck. Both my girls LOVE the playmobil and we have purchased all of our toys from this shop.

I've seen Playmobil at all of the listed places people here have already mentioned plus some of the educational/teacher stores nearby my town. I have ordered several times from ridgeroadstation dot com and have been very happy with their selection and prices. They have good sales from time to time and always have discounts below playmobil listed prices. I know I have found good discounts on some sets after Christmas at Target.

My boys have a lot of playmobil (airport, police station, fire station, post office, grocery store, and just about all the add ons and construction equipment out there.) It's the one type of toy we'll be keeping and not donating once they outgrow playing with them.

I just saw Playmobile sets at TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Homegoods. They had great prices! Also, Borders book stores has them too. If you sign up for their rewards card, it's free, they send you coupons, sometimes 20% off and sometimes 40% off and you can use them on Playmobile.

Playmobil! Our favorite!

The suggestions above are all great. Let me add where we've been lucky:

  • EBay
  • The mom & pop stores around us. They are usually higher priced when the set is new, but as things don't move they mark them down 30%-50% off. (Toy Chest in Ridgefield, Wilton & New Canaan, CT.)
  • The Playmobil monthly specials - every month they have something for 25% off.
  • The buy 1 get 1 50% off sales at TRU. That's where we rounded out our Egyptian collection.

I am looking all over for an airport #4311, if anyone sees one at a non-eBay price! Was originally around $60 and they're on eBay for $150!

Our local museum has playmobil sets in thier store and they offer discounts or anything in the store of their members. You might check museums in your area.

They just had them on sale at TRU recently, so I know they'll be having a sale again.

Thanks for all the great suggestions! I saw the two sets at Costco but they're not "beginner" sets for younger children, although at a good price for so many pieces. I'd have never thought to check TJ Maxx, Marshalls, or Tuesday Morning, so I'll have to look there, plus if they actually keep things in stock, the TRU buy one/get one 1/2 off would be a good deal too. I'll have to check out some of the Mom/Pop stores too as I actually would prefer to patronize a smaller specialty store.---Kathy

Borders have a limited selection-you can use your 40% off border rewards coupons on them, I think.

Check the little independant toy stores near you. Ours has a really good once-a-year sale on them.

Thanks for posting this - I was able to use the 40% off coupon yesterday and got the Pet Clinic $52.99 for $31.79. Selection is very limited but they do have alot of Lego sets and I noticed Disney Lego sets as well.
