Well I had this big plan to order a cake the night we eat at Chef Mickey's for my boyfriend's birthday, but then after talking with a CM there she kind of convinced me that they already do a lot of things for free (the birthday song, cupcake, placemat, etc). Plus, the smallest cake they had was for 4-6 people and it's only going to be the two of us....
So...I thought about getting him some balloons delivered to the restaurant that evening. We're staying offsite, so doing this earlier in our trip isn't an option (I don't want to have to carry balloons around all day at a park). The CM at Chef Mickey's gave me the number to WDW Floral but I wanted to see if anyone had done this before. I was thinking maybe 2-3 mylar balloons (shapes of the characters' heads) with some colorful latex balloons to use kind of like a centerpiece. We're driving down there, so we can always put the balloons in the back seat on the drive back.
If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm open to them! My boyfriend didn't have a great childhood and didn't get a lot of birthday celebrations as a child. I really want to make sure this trip is special for him, but also want to provide one really magical dinner that's all his (since we're actually celebrating both of our birthdays with this one trip). I already know about the birthday pins but so does he, so I wanted to have something that is a surprise. We leave Friday morning, so I need to figure out something soon!!
