OK, now I'm getting nervous. Was really, really, really excited about going to Disney World 3 times, but now people are saying it's too much! I did think our itinerary was kinda cool, though. We are in Disney October (31st), November (through the 6th), then back in December (29th), January (leaving the 8th) then back again in February (18th). So, in a mood of levity, I said to some friends and family, we will be at Disney World for 5 months! After explaining it, they STILL think we are overdoing it. Anyone else ever "overdo" Disney? I didn't think it was possible................... :woohoo: :dance3:

Most of our friends and family consider the fact that we go at least once a year way to much!! This year we went in April and are going back in August and our friends and family think we are crazy. (We haven't told anyone we want to go in December too!!) We don't care, we love it, our kids love it and as a family it is creating some fantastic memories. I don't think we will ever be tired of Disney.

Everyone tells me that too but I guess you go till it happens! We only go once a year but it is such great fun for our little family. We also go other places too but Disney is something you can do again & again. I would not go to any other place every year, only Disney World!

Wow! That's alot of vacationing no matter where you go! It's a bit much for my taste, but then again, I need my normal routine! Hey...if it's what you want to do, more power to ya! :thumbsup2 As far as the response you got from your family, I'll say this. Lots of people think big diamonds are gaudy...if they don't have any! HA! (Kidding! I don't have any either! :) )

You can see by my signature how much we've been lately...and we always stay for 8 or 9 days. We love it!!!

Several years ago, before our two kids (6 and 8 now), we spent 14 days during the off season at WDW. In the last 2 or 3 days, we started getting a little bored. We actually started going to movies at Downtown Disney for something to do. It was a bit cold for the water parks. The theme parks were on their "winter" hours. We still had a good time, mind you. But I think a really good vacation is one where you would like to stay just one more day when you leave. That gives you something to look forward to. I usually start planning our next Disney Vacation on the way home.

We are leaving on Sunday for our 2nd longest trip. We will be at BCV for 12 nights, plus a night on each end at DVC HH. Of course, now a days we have to adjust our pace for our kids and my mother (77), who will be joining us. Back in the days before kids, my wife and I could open and close a park. :yay: The kids haven't built up that kind of stamina yet. By the time they do, we might lose ours. :sad2:

With your trips spread out, you should find different things to do each time. I don't think you'll get bored.

I've been going to Disneyland every year for nearly every year I've been alive. I've been to Disney something at least once per year, 2X per year since 2005 and I'm going again in Sept.

No I'm never going to be Disney'd out.

Though we usually go to Disneyland, my family thinks we are crazy too! We have went 4 times in the last 5 years and some of those were not even a year apart. I have no desire to go to Hawaii or Mexico but they do so to each their own. :thumbsup2

Yep, have been there. As they say absence make the heart grow fonder. For me going too often just makes it a little less magical.

Last trip 7/17/05

Next Trip 5/18/07

Agree with Christa. Once we did two trips in one year and honestly I could not get so excited about it the second time, kinda a BTDT feeling. Now, going every 18 months or so I can stand because there are usually a couple of new things to do. Also, we find at least one thing new to us every trip. But I have to say, we are not a Disney only family. Our last trip was San Antonio (we are new to Texas) and it was fun and interesting. I don't think I would want to go anywhere as close together as your trips are. Just the logistics of planning, packing, boarding the pets, getting there and back, and getting re-adjusted after the trip do not sound fun or relaxing to me. It would be too much for my family!

We went in March and now we're planning to head back in October. In March we had both sets of grandparents in (DON'T EVER DO THAT TRUST ME, talk about over stimulated kid!!!,) it was the first trip for our DD and my inlaws from the UK. We had a fantastic time, despite too many grands trying to get the baby's attention and our DD getting sick toward the end of our trip. We miss it so much we're going back in October.

My family's been going since 1974 and I still find new things to do that I've never done before. In March we took the Segway around the world tour and had a blast. I've never been in the fall so we're looking forward to trying the Food and Wine Festival and MNSSHP.

We're already planning two trips for next year, one in May for a Star Wars weekend and one in late Nov./early December to enjoy a little Christmas at Disney. We'll see about 2008 when we at least turn the calender. :)

I know our friends think we're nuts but we enjoy it. We go other places too but this is a place our DD really enjoys, she hasn't stopped talking about our first trip and she wants to go back as bad as we do.

Do what works for you, maybe at some time you will get tired of Disney but then again maybe you won't!

I've been overtired from trying to cram too much into one day, but I've never been Disney'd out. As long as you have time for sleep, swimming, and things that you (or your kids) are used to doing- time for reading, checking email, playing w toys, etc. and not going in the parks 24/7, I think you can have a great time!

thanks for the thoughts...I should say as the OP that how this all came down was we joined the vacation club and recieved some free annual passes, so we are taking two friends in the October/November trip who took us (paid for the whole trip for us) on our 25th wedding anniversary. We had already planned a long trip in December/January for our kids and grandkids (11 in all). But then as an "oops", my oldest daughter discovered she was pregnant again, delivery due on December 30th! So, we are taking the same December/January trip with my other DD and her family and after pregnant DD about had a major depression, we planned another trip scheduled for February, before their original plane tickets expire. So, that is why we are doing all this. But I truly got nervous thinking maybe everyone is right and we won't want to go back to Disney for a long time. That would be the cruelest of all things! :sad2: We generally just go once a year.

While I certainly envy you all these trips---we have friends that say "you're going again!" So far we've only gone once a year----I do recall the trip before last when we decided that we would "take a break" and do something different---that was in December, by March we were signing the paperwork for DVC! Which is a great bargain if you're like us and consider staying onsite part of the Disney experience.

I think there are two types of folks, people that tolerate WDW and "DIZNEY NUTZ!" I am proud to be a card carrying member of the second group!!
